Another thing to consider is that the Legion and Cryx battle boxes are very strong in a newbie vs. newbie setting.

I think the newbie vs newbie setting is where "OP" comes from. Now that I've gotten more games in, I don't have a problem with Cryx anymore. And I haven't played Legion in a while. But I'm sure I have answers for them now.

Also, check out my history blog: Minimum Wage Historian, a fun place to check out history that often falls between the couch cushions.

Cryx and Legion can be very hard for a new player to verse because they have so many different tricks that they can pull. Terrain and clouds mean nothing to a legion army. And Denny can be a real pain to face.

Once you get to know them, they all drop like flies beneath the butcher's axe.

I've even seen Butcher fall to Butcher's axe, and it's hilarious

Shadowrun is the best game ever. It's the only thing I have ever played in which I have jumped out of a shot out van with a chainsaw to cut a flying drone in half before leveling a building with ANFO assisted by a troll, a dwarf, an elf, and a wizard.

That must have been epic, not even the Butcher is safe from himself. All hail the almighty axe haha.

And just when everyone thought that CoC was on the low end of power they go and sweep Gencon.

Gotta love it when people turn your world upside down.

The difference between the low end and high end of the power curve is very slight anyway.

You know what really bugs me? When my opponent, before they show up at the FLGS smears themselves in peanut butter and then makes blood sacrifices to Ashterai by slitting the throat of three male chickens and then smears the spatter pattern into the peanut butter to engrave sacred symbols into their chest and upper arms.
I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

Before the final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in space and flung him into the Warp, where my evil is law! Now the fool seeks to return to real-space, and undo the evil that is Chaos!"

Cryx and Legion can be very powerful in the right hands.
Together with Circle these are the best factions in the game.
But don't forget a shooty Cygnar army.
