there really is not best legion or worst legion, as the army lists are mostly the same bar a few special units. Yeah, there are things like the alpha legion that have you abuse special rules (in the best of ways ), but they can all be good.
FW resin isn't to bad to work with, just fragile at times, and you do need to wash them well before priming.
30k and 40k can play against each other and be fairly balanced, so far, I've done around 7 or 8 30k v 40k games ranging form 1k to 4k, and I'm at maybe 60/40 win/loss?
as for how it plays, think imperial guard infantry spam, but your guardsmen are marines XD.
It costs a lot, yay forge world, but you can use regular plastics for your vehicles with no issues, and for your marines if you dont mind the fluff.

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

It is rough to play 30k vs 40k with anything less that 1500 or 1850.

Very true. 30k is at a major disadvantage in that respect. The numbers don't balance well until 2-2.5k and after that it gets really nice for the 30k force.

Infantrymen do not die, they go to heaven and regroup.

To a point, yeah, 30k is designed to be played around 2,000+ area, any lower is more-so at a detriment to the 30k player if anything, I've noticed. Then again, ad. mech. lists are a lot different than legion lists.

I'd love to have a Lion El'Johnson figure... maybe even a figure of Lion fighting Luthur like the Locan fighting Abbadon figure set that you can buy already. I really hope they a Lion figure. But, that aside, I wouldn't mind putting together a World Eaters army. Money is a bit tight right now though.

Alpha is on top for sure.
I would put NL in the middle. They have great special rules. I don't notice any distinct lack of Anti-armor that anyone else gets. Melta bombs are incredibly viable, especially since everything and its mother gets ceramite armor. They also have the means to spam the units that carry melta bombs. Plus they are one of the only armies that get teleporting terminators without taking a special RoW. NL like anyone else also have access to Lightnings with their 2 lascannons and multiple Kraken missiles.

Iron Warriors rules are not great. Never having to worry about panic checks from shooting is awesome though. More importantly, both unique units are flipping awesome. Tyrant Terminators, ten cataphractii(2+,4++) terminators each with cyclone missile launchers, yes please. Even better, attach a siege master in cata armor, now they have tank hunter with 20 krak missiles, and if I remember, they are scoring.

I honestly don't pay much attention to the primarchs. I have used Curze once and he did well taking out all of the DA special characters in one battle that lasted a good portion of the game.I find I need points too badly to field a primarch and there is no fluff reason he would show up in a measly 2500 point game.

No reason to field a primarch in a 2500 point game?

Yeah, you generally don't take a Primarch because they're a beat stick; you take them because of their special rules that boost your army.

True but for the cost of a primarch I could have two units in many cases. Besides, the craziest things my normal opponents bring are the occasional knight unless we are playing a big game.4 or 5k+. Like I said, fluffwise there is no reason for Kurze to be hanging out with the 98th grand battalion's assault company in smaller point games(yes I consdier 2-2.5k a small game when it comes to Legion.
