Nice captain.

Interesting take on Coteaz , is that to fit in with the Ad Mech stuff or just not liking the original model?

@evildrcheese - Thanks, I don't like the Coteaz model at all and was just a fun conversion piece to fit in with my Admech.

@War Kitten - Thanks!

Finished up the flight line minus raven guard shoulder pads and heads.

@Gitsplitta - Thanks, I am very excited to finish assembling them!

I still have 2 Landspeeders and 2 Storm Talons to assemble. Then 15 Tacticals and 5 Devs but cannot do much till my FW order comes in.

Have the Storm Talons and Landspeeders assembled now, glass cockpits aren't glued in just there so I don't lose them. I was shocked at how snug the weapon options for the Storm Talons fit, did not need to magnetize them like I was originally going to.

List will be interesting to run, I can see running variants of it because I think it will get boring and one dimensional after 3-4 games. Hindsight is always fun! Hopefully my FW orders come in this week so I can finish up the tacticals, devastators and not have so many headless and shoulder padless marines.

Got a nice surprise, FW stuff came ahead of what I expected! Then my wife washed, cleaned and sorted them for me while I was at work. Realized I should of bought more brass etching and a decal sheet. Though I may just use the smaller brass ravens for the scouts.

Tomorrow night will be putting together the Tacticals and the Devastators finally! I was super happy my wife was like just start putting the rest together and stop worrying about your FW shipment. Made tonight a lot more fun and easier putting the shoulder pads and helmets on.

@Gitsplitta - Thanks, I am excited to paint them! I want to put them all together first though. Not sure why just the way I do things.

Looks like a cool bunch. but honestly, I would have started the painting already before the FW stuff arrived. Now it's going to a be a bitch to reach every nook & cranny on those jump pack marines.

@Warboss_Waazag - Thanks!

@Evildrcheese - I agree, I am going to finish putting together the rest of the Tacticals and Devastators tonight then start painting over the weekend!

@Meph - Appreciate it! I agree about the jump packs hind sight is always fun!

Finished putting together the torsos on the legs this morning for the start of the Tacticals/Devastators, once they are done going to start priming!

Looking good @spacewolverine! I have my company getting close. Just my Dev squad to build, and I need an hq - then I'll be done with the Pinion! I just need the storm talons and speeder to play a legit Talon Strike Force though...boo...I am just using box shoulder pads for now and I'll go back later and pop off pads (I glued really lightly) or put on the transfer sheet from FW.

But I'm a crazy impatient gamer...LOL

Looks solid! How many assault marines and vanguards do you have? Are you going for the skyhammer annihilation force?

Have been busy with work and trying to get my army somewhat painted and based by Sunday to try to get in some games with them. See how it goes, this is the progress over the past couple days. White is just a base coat on the Vanguard. Love the Forgeworld torso's, shoulder pads and backpacks. The backpacks are unreal! Need to take pictures behind them tonight.

My my, quite the industrious one aren't you. Do you have a time line to get these all done by or is Sunday the final deadline?

@Knightley - Thanks, I try to be! I don't have a timeline to be finished, I just want them table top ready by Sunday. If they aren't that's okay too. I will be doing small details later.

Will you be doing anything special with the basing?

@Gitsplitta - I am super excited for them to be done and I definitely agree they will hopefully!

@Knightley - Yes I bought some slate from Tarnag that I will be using, I may take some of them off there bases to put slate underneath. Time will tell. The slate is amazing though!

Worked on my Talons this morning will have to post pictures tonight.

Look great man! I started up on my tacticals first. My problem is this: I prime black which rocks to get everything the color it's supposed to be, but then moving forward getting everything to not look lame matte black is tough. I tried a light grey drybrush to pick out the details on my first 5 tacticals and it helped. Also, the texture paint I'm using to base with a nice drybrush looks awesome. Are you going to put color markings on the assault marines? I'm doing 4th company so all my guys will have green trim, but I know assault marine squads in Raven Guard have red on the pads, so I'm going to have to figure out a way to get that into my models too.

SO MANY DETAILS

Good show boss! Super jealous of the storm talons. I think that's my next formation I'm going to build is the raptor wing, then the shadowstrike team and then skyhammer to finish it off. What are you thoughts on land speeder storms for the scouts? Proxied some and it worked decently well actually.

@Castellan Alaric - No idea on storms. I am going to buy Scout Bikers next. I will be putting color markings eventually when I get done moving around my Heavy weapons and find a list I like.

Got to play with them today. Still no bases but at least look decent on the table. I fell in love with the models today while I was playing. Really a blast from the past to be honest due to the beakies and studded shoulder pads.

Next up detailing and I cannot decide on bases. I wanted to do the slate but I'm almost thinking of my normal static grass and brown gravel basing material to make the models pop. If I go with the Slate they are complete black and grey with it.

Here are pictures I took after gaming on my painting table again. They still need a lot of loving. Just happy I could feel comfortable gaming with them! Won both times but we're tough.

Have been working on my Chaplain all night and this morning. Still WIP. Stumped on what I want to do with his wings and still unsure about basing. Realized last night I had a mold line on his command frill so had to get rid of that this morning.

Not sure how I am going to get the skull with wings to pop on his head too, it just blends in. Thinking of painting it gold.

You've been very productive! Kinda hard to see what's going on with the chappy. He looks solid though. Love the studded shoulder pad, very old-school.

It's a skull with wings. I agree, I need to figure out what to do with it, need to paint it a different color than white. Kind of wish I would of filed it off.

Finished my Assault Marine Sergeant, been working on a Drop Pod and kiting out one of my Tactical Squads to have Melta guns and Combi Meltas. Got two Landspeeder Storms in and my Centurion Devastators. Will be working on them tonight! Then working more on my Assault Squad. Have been busy during Thanksgiving seeing my family.

Looking good wolverine! Dig the chappy too, he looks solidly chaplain-y lol I also enjoy the FW pads and upgrades you have, they give that RG character that I'm missing without transfers and such. My wife is getting my betrayal at calth for Christmas, though so my RG are going to get much bigger, very quickly. It's also going to get me into 30k, which is cool too.

Keep up the good work!

@Castellan Alaric - Thanks, I appreciate it.

I am at a impass, with my Centurions I am debating to put Beakies on them or possibly the Crusader style helmet.
