Putting a range next to the weapons also puts things into perspective as well though. Otherwise you could look at this thread and think" gee there sure are alot of ways to ignore cover I don't get why people think jink is so strong" when in reality most of these need you to be within 6" to use.

A Squadron of Vindicators has the ability to launch an Apocalyptic Blast Ignores Cover version of their normal shell (can't remember the AP value, I believe it is AP2). They are available to Space Marines and Dark Angels.

Don't believe me? It's all in the numbers.
Number 1: That's terror.

On the siroritas Dominions. Let us not forget that their ignore cover faith applies to any turret or other field weapon they're manually operating, ie, quadgun, Icarus lascannon....that massive plasma cannon ( I forget the name)

Dominion Combi-Weapons (AP 5/2/1)

Should read any weapon used by dominion squad the phase their act of faith is used.

It's easy to assume that people arguing an interpretation you disagree with are just looking for an advantage for themselves... But it's quite often not the case.

One thing I'd suggest is to make the list alphabetically ordered.

Oh, and Tau have the signature system of "Multi-Spectrum Sensor Suit" which allows them to ignore cover with a unit. Though as a whole I think the ability of Tau being able to ignore cover is highly overstated as they do have to give up a lot to gain that bonus. However, I also know the armies who depend on cover a lot more are the most hurt by Tau, so I do support a more "-1 per marker" method than "-2 is all cover".

I'll pluck you like a flower.

Great info guys.

My question is how much info are we allowed to post regarding rules? If we are ok to post range/str/ap all together, I think its fantastic. I just didn't want to get in trouble posting too much rules info on here if its not cool...

If that info is ok, lets get that info added onto here and I'll add it to the original post.

I'm convinced IC weapons are the way to beat many of the top lists, and it's been working well for me so far even with flamer spam vs biker lists. Making ravenwing lose jink brings them back to regular marine status afterall... lol.

Should we also include a barrage category, for those who are just using old-fashioned walls as cover instead of all the other modern tricks ?

Necron Tomb Blades may Purchse Ignores Cover for any of their 3 weapon options for 2ppm.

Those armies with Div can roll perfect timing

Space Wolves may take the Helm of Durfast (?), this also confers to any emplacement they fire (such as the Plasma Obliterator or Macro cannon)

Any Beam power (Doombolt/molten beam/killbolt etc) or weapon (necron doomray from their pylons) does not allow allow you to declare jink (though if you are already jinking, you make take a jink save)

Edit: Necron Relic Gauntlet of the Conflagrator is one use only Str 7 AP2 Template

2nd Edit; All fliers can Vector strike which ignores cover

Imperial Assassins have Ignores cover on their shooting IIRC, The callidus comes with a fleshbane template IIRC.

Necrons you're missing:
- Tomb blades with nebulo-no-scopes
- Gauntlet of the Conflagrator artifact
- Some of C'Tan powers (roll 2 on d6)
- C'tan Nightbringer "Gaze of Death" skill (technically not a weapon, but ignores cover and deals damage)

Should a Vindicare Assassin manning any weapon count?
Every Imperial Army can have one and, in theory, therefore turn any Weapon Emplacement into a Doomsday Device.

I forgot to mention the Blood Angels Frag Cannon. It is a Str 6, AP - , Assault 2, Rending Template weapon. So while being AP -, if you roll a 6, it becomes AP2. With two templates, you are bound to get that to happen at least once.

Should probably include scenarios for when it happens, like the Cult Mechanicus' Elimination Maniples.

"Elimination Volley: If a Kastelan Robot from this Formation scores one or more unsaved Wounds, glancing hits or penetrating hits on an enemy unit with a weapon that has the Luminagen special rule, all Kataphron Destroyer units from this Formation that target the same enemy unit add 1 to their Ballistic Skill characteristic and their weapons gain the Ignores Cover special rule until the end of that phase."
