I like the miniatures, very positively surprised, good proportions and style. These will make for some nice Scifi gang members in other games, too

Cover art looks good

Good work, Studio Modiphius, I will most likely buy it if the gameplay allows for some enjoyable game nights.

I lack the time to reupload, sorry

That looks good, but it's just digital renders. I am tentatively interested. I was just wondering what happened with this since there hasn't really been any news since it was announced. I find it interesting that Prodos isn't mentioned anywhere. I wonder if that means someone else is handling production?

They are mentioned as sculptors but production of (plastic) minis will be handled by others (probably in China).

Paolo is mentioned in there along side Prodos as being responsible for the miniatures, so I would imagine Prodos designs, Paolo's lot manufactures. If true, this will put it into the same quality casts/material as the CMoN games

Yeah, the Prodos link is not necessarily the negative people make it out to be. The problems seem to be more with their in house games rather than delivering on external contracts

Hey everyone yes we're launching at midday BST UK time - don't worry there's no early bird pledges so if you're in the US waking up later you won't miss anything :-)

Lots to reveal on the project - new rules alongside the much loved existing system, new features, new creatures and tiles! Modiphius is organising the project with Cabinet Entertainment who own Mutant Chronicles, Warzone and Siege of the Citadel etc. We've got chinese factories doing the production, sculpts by Prodos team (who have sculpted much of the universe already for Warzone) as well as Paolo Parente's team who include legends like Gael Goumon.

We're going to be doing short playthrough videos every few days to show off different features so hopefully that will answer all your questions but I'll keep an eye on this forum and pop in when I can.

Are the miniatures in scale with Warzone Resurrection so that they can also be used there?

Backed it, I'm a fan of the Warzone universe but I missed its heyday prior to being "revived" by Prodos.

The next goal has been breached... onto the events and then the steps!

The only experience of Mutant Chronicles that I have was the movie, but the board game seems like a good in as I didn't (for some reason) back the rpg ks

There's a big jump between the first two pledge levels.

Are you really getting a lot more with that DARK LEGION pledge ($149) vs. the DOOM TROOPER ($69) pledge?

Made in gb
Calculating Commissar

So what they are talking about is that the Dark Legion will include a number of full expansions and extra boards across the campaign, on top of any bits that get added to the DT level. No detail on what these will actually be yet though

In response to someone asking about the higher level costs:

Modiphius wrote:@Matthew - because we expect to unlock about 5-10kg of extra expansions and the shipping is based on the expected increase in weight, except it's now only a $20 extra charge (see the savings in the first update). We can't keep changing the shipping pricing every time we unlock something - trust me that would confuse the hell out of everyone. So we have to assume for what we aim and expect to unlock for you all. It's a lot of weight and is sent by tracked shipping within your country to avoid customs charges. The extra content still has to be paid for - if you're not confident we will unlock maybe $400-$500 worth of value for you then just stick at the $69 pledge. Many people trust us to deliver amazing value - and you get incredible value for money by going for the higher pledge in return.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
The next update has come out, with details on another future Dark Legion stretch goal. This is a new 3 part campaign written by Kevin Wilson.

I will wait till near the end of the campaign before I up my pledge to be honest, depending on how well it goes.

But, I am certainly somewhat optimistic.

Are there any KS exclusives with the $69 pledge level?

And have they said the MSRP for that level?

I'm interested, but not $149 interested. Will probably pick it up when it gets to retail.

I have not seen an MSRP yet. It looks like there are nooks exclusives yet as they have said that at least the doom trooper extras will be available from their website after the retail release.

The Dark Legion level has been updated so that it is guaranteed to get any announced, but unreached stretch goals. This normally means two to three extra goals. They have also updated the graphics with some hints to what will be in DL. It looks like lots of extra models, some terrain bits and some extra box sets that I imagine will be a paid add on for others.

Speaking of stretch goals,.. The double stairwell and campaign goals for DL level are unlocked and things are progressing towards a big 3D stair well and tile add on

I'm going to sit out this one and get it from retail. Living in Japan is going to add a 50% increase to my pledge.

I played Siege of the Citadel- the game was very close to Space Crusade- with a few significant improvements even.

I'm also glad that they got a crew of current game designers to make some tweaks, because game design- especially for games of this type- has come quite a long ways since then.

I noticed it said the game is for 1-5 players, but I haven't found anything else about a full co-op mode (they talk about players rotating who plays the Dark Legion, but that wouldn't allow for 1 player.

They said they are working on rules for 1 player so do not worry

Do we know if they will translate into a 2-4 player game with an AI dark legion?

If I understood it correctly then SotC can be played as it was with the original plus mode for 1 player. Anything more I have no idea until they show actual gameplay movies.

For those not wanting to go read the update, the Brotherhood expansion is:

modiphius wrote:First published in magazine format in Target Games original magazine, now upgraded by the grace of the Cardinal, this expansion unlocks the Brotherhood faction for players, new Dark Legion creatures, the power of the Arts & Dark Gifts plus new ruined Brotherhood Cathedral tiles to fight over!

More information will be released about this over the next few days. DL backers will get this for free as it is an announced stretch goal. Other backers will need to purchase this as an add-on. MSRP for the expansion is $50-60

DL also gets a free add-on booklet that gives options for using the large tiles that have been added, including options to combine multiple core sets for larger games. This will be bundled with the large tiles when they are made available as an add-on later.

3 additional Doomtrooper cards have been added to all pledges because we've also reached 1000 backers today
