Not sure why you're so surprised about the absence of Chinese lists. China wasn't part of the Pacific theater. It was part of the China-Burma-India theater.
While that's true, I was still hoping that BF would expand to some of the early war in China, considering they did Japanese vs USSR on the mainland in the last book. It would have made sense to then go to Manchuria and Nanking and the early Chinese forces. It would still be considered the Eastern theater and fit the theme.

There's very little customer demand for China. Starting with them as the principal Allied nation would cripple the release before it even got started due to a much lower level of interest. The US and the British are the primary Allied draws, and the US Marine Corps hasn't appeared in Flames of War yet. As such, the USMC is a logical choice for the initial release.

Chinese forces of all shapes and stripes can be added once the necessary popularity is in place, but that almost certainly won't be until after both the US and Commonwealth get full representation..

And note that this is not just an Early War release. The two books are meant to be compatible with all three eras (though presumably the US book will only be used with a very tiny portion of Early War).

Its most likely not even on the radar yet but I would like to see Battlefront take on the Korean War. There must be a lot of stuff already easily convertible to this period already made by Battlefront ?

Good opportunity to make Chinese forces

+lots on Korea, expands very nicely into a range that can then, with just a book essentially, be used for a whole range of periods to link to to the 1985 WW2 release, and beyond.

Given Team Yankee is a fictional war, when do we get 1946 with E-75s and E-100s facing off IS-3s and US T-28 super heavies?

It's a fictional war, but it uses real equipment. Battlefront's last foray into the world of tanks-that-never-were was a bit of a disaster.

I didn't see Mid-war Monsters as a disaster, and I've always wanted to see what an Italian Compagnia Carri equipped entirely with P40 tanks could do against the Allies

Yep. Its a 'World of Tanks' type game Battlefront is publishing under the 'Gale Force 9' division. Other than the tanks, its not really a WWII game

The vast majority of Battlefront's customers did. And so did Battlefront's bottom line.

People *still* complain about it on the forums.

On another note, while there's still not much known about the new "Tanks" game, I'm inclined to go with the theory that it's basically going to be X-Wing with World War 2 tanks.

New information in the first post. Looking forward to see what the new Late War book covers!

I am still hoping for a mid war eastern front book so that we can play games from Barbarossa right up to Berlin.

I have been trying to to make cards for FoW in order to solve the constant flicking through books for stats (don't get the chance to play often), found a Magic the gathering card creator program.

(Plan on putting the special rules on the back of the card), they will also be sleeved so I can highlight the units confidence and training.

BF's official "Coming in 2016" post.

http://www.flamesofwar.com/hobby.aspx?art_id=5091

Highlights -

- Digital updates to the Mid-War lists in January
- Pacific in March.
- Two Bulge compilations, and an unidentified Late War book accompanied by new plastic models
- British and West Germans for Team Yankee
- New digital force cards using existing figures for Team Yankee. Afgantsy paratroopers have been confirmed. Physical cards will be mailed to anyone who buys digital cards.
- Digital for Android
- Tanks
- Terrain, both new and returning
- Moving their Malaysian factory to a larger facility

In a recent interview, an upcoming "Recon" project was mentioned. It's not listed as such in the list of 2016 items. But it might be the unidentified Late War release.

I bought 8 boxes of mid war monsters tanks, and a lot of other locals grabbed 1 or 2. Didnt think it was a failure.

What haplened to the Operation Sea Lion book that BF was supposedly going to release.

Hey that's pretty cool. I've been wanting to make some cards for our home brew 40k game. Where is this card program you used?

I'm looking forward to pretty much all of the things BF previewed. It's gonna be a good year for them.

Yeah, it was the campaign and a mention about steve when he worked for them, helping them make the supplement.

It was from a thread in the game design subforum

I spoke to someone from Battlefront and I am aware they are not supposed to give up lots of information but I am pretty confident that part of the "new content" will include Reluctant/Vet VGD in the bulge comp. He was pretty "ehhhhh" about talking though, so I didn't get much else other than "I haven't even started working on it yet"

I hope so.

I'm interested in the TANKS game but I'm really hoping we get more than the 4 tanks per army that they're showing on that 2016 preview. What an uninspired grouping of tanks...
They already sell almost every tank out there in some form or another. Just release the cards for all of them as well!

I'm not 100% certain (I'd need to double-check the British), but I believe the listed tanks and tank destroyers are all vehicles that Battlefront currently makes in plastic. As Battlefront's range of available plastic tanks expands, look for the list of tanks available in Tanks to expand as well (assuming that the game is a success).

Wonder if they will sell card packs separately or something so players can use their existing minis

If it's anything like FFG's X-Wing game, then no. I've heard of more than one person who bought a fighter for that game that they had no intention of using because the package included a particular expansion card that they wanted for their squadron.
