Doesn't the thought that you gave it your best shot feel good though? It certainly sounds like you went to town on them (even making a tutorial!), so I'd have to say you've done mighty fine. Well done GA, can't wait to see those finished tanks!

EDIT: Whoops, took your page 2 post Well done on that too!

I kinda got trashed early on I blame it totally on our elected commander though for not giving me air support when a squadron of Hinds and 2 Frogfoots went straight for me, and for leaving me to face 2 platoons of T-72s on my own

Let's see the progress GA! Keep it up!

Thankyou JamesY! Your speed painting pedestal hasn't been nicked by me yet

It certainly was a grind, but yes I am still motivated on getting these finished before I touch anything else, even if these Infinity Nomads are very tempting

I've got an unexpected interview tomorrow morning, so I'll have to delay posting the tutorial for now. Still, once the airbrush is working, it will only take a few hours to get the whole force painted up in camo.

So we have reached page 2! Let's hope it's more full of completed projects eh?

Well Khorne cares not from whence the blood flows so I say you can still call it a success! Looking forward to seeing some pics of completed models. I've been out of flames of war for some time and probably won't go back (40k painting keeps me busy enough) but I like to ogle the team yankee armies at my local FLGS whenever I see them.

I say you should jump in if you liked Flames; Team Yankee is far more brutal and simplistic thanks to technology ignoring most of the rules that Flames lays down (Almost everything both NATO and Pact has a Laser Rangefinder, which ignores range penalties ), but it actually helps with the pacing. We managed to get a 2v3 mega game on an 8x4 foot table completed in a few hours because of how fast the destruction is

It does mean you need to play in big groups though; our club has found out in previous games that smaller games are often too brutal to be fun for both players.

Tutorial is now up for building an M1A1 Abrams. Still can't believe Battlefront didn't make a thorough tutorial for it despite giving you the extra parts...

Anyways, I just got a phone call from LV saying I got the job, hours after I took the interview. I'm incredibly happy, which should mean I'll be motivated to get these done faster. Stay tuned!

Happy for ya GA, sounds like you killed the interview (especially since it was short notice)! Very well done indeed!

Tutorial was smashing as well, great amount of detail. Big oversight on Battlefront's part though. Thanks again for that.

Congrats on the job and nice work on the tutorial Although the tutorial did bring back post-traumatic flashbacks of working with plastic Shurzen and further cements that I will not likely return to 15mm...

Thanks a lot guys - I thought I was screwed since I was the only one who wasn't wearing a suit among the candidates, as well as having the least experience. Guess the charm offensive payed off

It really is a sucky scale to build with, however I'm pretty impressed by the detail on these models; if the build quality wasn't so erratic I'd put them up there with Citadel miniatures.

So the airbrush is on its way to being unclogged and ready to go again. However, I've been contemplating properly preparing this time and buying some Citadel Air paints, as well as some mixing jars and thinner/airbrush cleaner. Our next game is scheduled in March most likely, but I'm very much aware and guilty of how this blog isn't exactly showcasing much. And we're nearly a month into the new year!

I'll make the decision tonight after phoning up my LGS on what to do; it'd be at least a few days before they could get in the stuff for me. If I do go down that route, I will be bridging the gap until they arrive by starting on my Nomads, since I'm all set to paint those

Infinity Nomads eh?...I've got the nomads half of the op. icestorm box, and a box of wildcats(?) and a little walker mech thingy with a pair of mini robot things...got them nearly a year ago now, and only have one and a half models painted so far ...they're bloody gorgeous models, but man are they tiny, and detailed!

...I really should get back to them at some point...the game sounded fun, but I haven't had a chance to play yet...

...it's good to be green!
