Presumably in the Chapter heraldry. Also, if you paint some High Gothic words on your Rhino, they should be in orange.

The Dakka Chapter has a series of obscure, specific rules the initiates sometimes fail to adhere to. These are:

Rule 1: Insult the enemy. Failure to do so will result in Chapter Mods Chaplains wielding their banehammer pattern Crozius Arcanums.
Rule 2: No going off finding other enemies. Concentrate on the ones in hand.
Rule 3: Spam Shoot often and shoot frequently, even if you have destroyed your opponent!

Part of the 21st Founding, also known as the Cursed Founding, the Sons of Dakka are descended from Ultramarines geneseed. Due to the stability of their geneseed, over half of all space marines chapters are descended from the Ultramarines, this resulted in growing concerns among the Adeptus Mechanicus about the worrying level of influence and control the Ultramarines appear to have over their successor chapters. In an effort to counteract this, the Sons of Dakka were genetically altered to be uncooperative with those of Ultramarine genetic stock.

As with many of the 21st Founding there were unintended and disastrous consequences.

Being of Ultramarine stock themselves, the Sons of Dakka were completely incapable of getting along with each other, or the majority of allied Space Marine forces. While the nature of this genetic alteration is shrouded in mystery, it is speculated that strands of the Blood Angels', or possibly Space Wolves' geneseed may have been spliced as some battle brothers demonstrate symptoms of Feral Rage. Even the Dark Angels enter consideration, as the Sons often demonstrate the type of sullen sulking and reluctance to share evidence often proscribed to that most noble of chapters. These battle brothers show exceptional xenocidal tendencies towards the likes of the Eldar and Tau races. Certain elements among the chapter even desired the complete eradication of other Imperial forces, such as the Adepta Sororitas. These angry, foaming lunatics are kept in line by the moderating Chaplains, who are forced to destroy vast quantities of poorly written, incoherent and borderline heretical text. The chapter's tendency, when it believes them to provide particular advantage, to use whatever specialist wargear and formations usually employed exclusively by these chapters does nothing to provide clarity.

The Sons of Dakka are a Crusading Chapter and will seek fights wherever they find them, no matter how petty or trivial. As such, it is difficult to determine the Sons of Dakka's position in relation to anything or determine the true strength of their fighting forces.

Rumours say the Chapter is vastly overstrength. The Chapter has itself offered no comment.

What is known is that the Chapter maintains a 'black company' for particularly troublesome recruits, causing a lot of noise and plenty of headaches for the Captains, but are nonetheless valued for their own qualities (such as their skill with flame weapons, which they are all too happy to display). This company is called the Official Toprated Incendiary Companions (a name they chose themselves), or OffTopIC for short.

I'm surprised none of the original dakka members jumped on this one. The original Dakka Dakka house army was a deep (kind of red-ish) purple with bone colored shoulders and face plate. Black rims on the shoulders and a 'Dakka blast' for a chapter symbol. I don't remember the eye color. The only completed model, however, was a single heavy bolter guy.

Rumours that the Sons of Dakka descend from Ultramarine stock cannot be supported by any credible citations. It is the subject of perennial debate among Administratum pundits, who note that the Sons of Dakka not only lack the omopahgea (no matter how thoroughly they chew something over, they never seem to learn a thing from it), but the catalepsean organ is extremely overdeveloped to the point that many Brothers (including several Moderator-Captains) seem to never sleep at all. Although speculations that the Sons of Dakka were created as part of the so-called Cursed Founding, this largely amounts to slander on the part of rival Chapters.

Fortress Monastery - Lost in the Interwebway

Spoiler:

Chapter Origins
Spoiler:

Chapter Properties and Flaws
Spoiler:
The Dakka Dakka chapter has the most unpredictable geneseed of all space marine chapters. Every single member of the chapter has different goals and they constantly argue with each other.

The geneseed of the Sons of Dakka includes two deviations: overdeveloped Catalepsean Node and Omophagea completely missing.

Some DakkaDakka space marines are so messed up that they dress up as Xenos and fall into a feral state, other less crazy Dakka Marines merely desecrate their armour with whatever they want. Despite this fracture within the chapter they all keep their base colours of black, gold and orange.

Chapter Legends
Spoiler:
The Dakka Chapter's hero is Chapter Master Yakface. His deeds of legend are the slaying of the terrible Forum Trolls, and enforcing order on the Dakkanaughts.

Chapter Homeworld
Spoiler:
Chapter home world, a land stalked by feral Trolls always seeking to invade the land claimed by the Dakka marines, fighting ceaselessly but never able to destroy them.
The landscape is littered with conversational parchments. Most of these are considered spam, and are thus harvested every Report by the chapter Mods as a ritual sacrifice to Chapter Master Yakface.

Tactical & Strategic Organisation
Spoiler:
Dakka is not Codex-Compliant, and actively rejects Spiritual Lieges of all kinds.
To earn the right of Captain (called a Mod) one must slay a mighty Chief Troll.

Chapter Specialities
Spoiler:

Chapter Beliefs
Spoiler:

Chapter Strength
Spoiler:

Chapter Relations
Spoiler:

Chapter Traits
Spoiler:

- One of few space marine chapters that can understand Ork language and even "negotiate" the head kicking about to happen. The Orks are always willing to "negotiate" because it is comedy gold to them plus all the shooting they are about to receive is not as much fun. They are able to have Orks as Allies.

- They have a love/hate relationship with the Mechanicus: they always have good ideas of how their toys of war should be made but the manufacturer steadfastly refuses to change. There is a chance that units in reserve may switch to a different unit due to the Mechanicus "mistakenly" sending the wrong equipment.

- They willingly receive marines from other chapters that could not be sustained any longer but they must vow an undying hatred for the "General Weaponfactorer" that has been assigned to supply them or "GW" for short. When attacking any unit that has Mechanicus trained personnel in it they gain the special rule "Hatred".

- "I'll be back" special rule: When any special character is "killed" put the model on it's side. Roll a die 6 and any role of 4+ the model is back and at full health. No matter how sure you were that you would never see this person again, even if they claimed high and low they were going to be gone forever... they mysteriously come back.

Ongoing Struggles of the Chapter
Spoiler:
Despite Yakface's triumphs over the lowly trolls, the Dark Lord Ward continues to barrage the chapter with virus' that cause the Dakkanaughts to collapse in a rage induced fit. These virus' are often administered by literature disguised to bring balance to the Galaxy but often cast it into turmoil.

Each member of the Dakkanaughts is to where the Heraldry of Dakka on their left shoulder.

As for the right? There are many different Heraldry's, one such Heraldry is the covated RAW mark worn by the elite keepers of all Adeptus Astartes codeces. These marines are known for chastising fellow marines on the field of battle for "Bending the rules". Conversely a second company who uses the mark of RAI are forever seen undermining the rule of those who wear RAW, they believe the code codex is more like guidelines anyway.

Chapter Organisation:

The Burner of Lego:

Spoken of in hushed tones of awe, the Legoburner is the Chapter's foremost Techmarine and one of the Chapter's most revered members. Only by his mighty ministrations do the ancient war machines and technologies of the Sons of Dakka continue to function. By his hand and ceaseless watch are the tech-viruses of the Interwebway combated, enabling the Sons of Dakka to continue their righteous crusade against the troll, the furry and the dreaded rule-benders.

The Keepers of Lore:

The Sons of Dakka maintain an elite cadre of Chaplains known as the 'Keepers of Lore'. Known for their deep understanding of all aspects of lore, the Keepers act as an advisory body within the Chapter aiding the Battle-Brothers in making decisions, based on extensive knowledge of not only the Chapters history, but of all the Imperium. Controversially, the Keepers also study all manner of Xenos in depth, a habit not fully approved of within the Imperium, in order to combat them better. Most worryingly, in some cases this has led to some of the Keepers developing somewhat unhealthy fascinations with particular Xenos races - leading to suspicion and much heated debate amongst the Keepers. Perhaps the most telling sign of their unfathomable knowledge is their continued quest for the identities of the Two Missing Primarchs - a quest that some say can only lead to madness and spurious theories...

The Rumour-smiths:

The Chapters Librarians, the Rumour-smiths scry the infinitive futures of the universe, seeking glimpses of ancient technologies and news of potential allies. A highly cynical group, the Rumour-smiths transcribe any and all information, not matter how paltry, in their efforts to divine the future - not content until they are able to codify their visions in what they refer to as 'Pics'. Despite the nebulous nature of these visions, it is a time of great anticipation amongst the Chapter when a Rumour-smith announces that they have had a vision from the near mythical 'Workshop of Games' and is sure to provoke intense discussion and, inevitably, argument amongst the Sons of Dakka.

The Dakka Crusade Masters (DCM's):

An proud and haughty group of warriors, the DCM's form the chapters 1st Company. Often the most passionate and outspoken group of the Sons of Dakka, the DCM's have dedicated their lives to the prosecution of war in the name of the Sons of Dakka and count some of the chapters oldest and most respected members amongst their ranks. A fiery and headstrong group, if no enemy capable of matching their righteous zeal can be found the DCM's will often fight honour duels amongst themselves, in contests to prove their superiority over each other and the other 'lesser' members of the Chapter. A force to be reckoned with, the DCM's can often be found performing the duty of Honour Guards to the Chapters Moderator Captains.

Chapter Armoury:

The Chapter is highly proficient in the arts of the Forge and as such boasts an impressive and extensive array of wargear, with many exotic variants of standard Imperial constructs that are unique to the Chapter. Amongst the more well known relics can be found the Dakka Pattern Stormtalon - with it's extended wings and redesigned weapons-systems. The Chapter also utilises a lighter weight Centurion, with less armour plating than usual to allow it to keep up with the Chapters rage induced assaults. The Sons also prefer to modify their armour to enhance it's protection and stature, dubbing it 'Truescale' in honour of the thick skulls and hides of the Trolls that lurk in the shadows of Dakka.

Chapter Origins:

The Chapter's origins are shrouded in mystery and conjecture. Whilst some point to their rage as evidence of Blood Angel or Space Wolf geneseed, other point to the cold and calculating obsession with numbers of some Son's as indication of the influence of the Iron Hands. Owing to their high aptitude with the Forge and their ability to produce highly unique wargear, still others say they may have been created from a lost descendant of the Salamanders. Whatever the truth may be, it is known that they display an unfathomable array of traits and are known to be highly erratic in nature.

Chapter Colours:

++Pictolog compiled from images obtained during the Scouring of Offtopicia. Image shows a DCM Veteran. Note the placement of company insignia on the marine's right knee and squad number on the marine's left knee. Tactical insigna follows standard codex rules, to aid recognition when operating alongside Imperial allies.++

The Dakkanoughts of the Proposed Rules company are suspected to have acquired a device that intermittently edits the laws of physics. This cannot be confirmed, as their current opponents have not agreed that such an item exists.

Or, if they have, it's too costly to be available.

Meanwhile one company spend alot of time working there cells, split the painters post pictures up on the great walls of the monestary, the finest chosen by the competition and showcase chaplains enforcing standards of colour and holy basing.

Some teach, and pass on skills whilst others hoard and sell painted models of dakka marines to other dakka marines.

The last breed are the plogers, ceaseless painters, each embarks on mighty projects and on battlefield relentlessy hammer there heavy weapons at the enmy so they can ho back to there calling.

The maribes of the You Make Da Call company are by far the most baffling of all to other marines. Composed entirely of lawyers, they spend centuries arguing over syntax and grammatical errors in the Codex Astartes and other tactical doctrines.

Unlike other chapters, the Dakka Company is assigned to particularly treacherous missions. Often it finds itself fighting on slippery slopes with moving goalposts.

Fortunately the Dakka Company is armed with very specialized and formidable weaponry! Jumping into their bandwagon transports Dakka-ites surge ahead with anecdotal heavy weapons, cherry-pickers, hyperbole-pattern boltguns and conflation grenades. Unburdened with proof they can use their combat doctrine to appeal to a higher authority when not begging the question.

Although it might be a false cause, the Dakka Company will remain the masters of assumption and presumption. So let it be written.

The Dakka-Pattern Bandwagon looks very similar to a Land Raider Crusader. It is an Assault Vehicle designed primarily to allow verbal attacks to begin as soon as possible, with options to reduce it's argument capacity and replace its guns with weapons of flaming. Known for occasionally going off on its own little rampage, Mods are regularly tasked with personally monitoring them.

One of the most obscure companies in the Sons of Dakka chapter is that of the Proposal. The members of this company argue and poll for the rights to change all manner of things ranging from the standard modification of the common bolt gun to changing the very tactics laid out in the codex astartes, considering themselves to be far better rule writers than their progenitor.

"There is a cancer eating at the Imperium. With each decade it advances deeper, leaving drained, dead worlds in its wake. This horror, this abomination, has thought and purpose that functions on an unimaginable, galactic scale and all we can do is try to stop the swarms of bioengineered monsters it unleashes upon us by instinct. We have given the horror a name to salve our fears; we call it the Tyranid race, but if is aware of us at all it must know us only as Prey."
