Oh, and what do they do then? Mist the paint on in perfect layers using their fine telekinesis, honed by years of eating boiled rice one grain at a time with no hands?
More layers, more blending, more details.

I think most hobby magazines are cyclic in nature to reflect new blood joining.
I remember comments being made previously that if someone start seeing the same kind of articles in WD or other hobby magazine, they may not need the mag anymore.

They have probably revamped the paint range since WD350, so now we get at least the current paint names without looking in conversion charts

White Dwarf 350 was released over 7 years ago as well, it's reasonable to think the player base has changed a fair bit in that time !

Painting Faces has been done numerous times before.
To be fair, though, you can hardly expect people to say, 'Gee willikers; I sure do want to learn how to paint faces. I'll just go find an out of print White Dwarf from [insert large number of years here] ago!'
It's not like it's the first time they've interviewed Jes, either.

But each interview will reveal different things, and reflect his opinion and thoughts at that time.
I am looking forwards to reading that interview, and am keen to see how the Genestealer Cult is covered.

It's not like it's the first time they've interviewed Jes, either.
We've had 8 editions of fantasy and around 6-7 of 40k and hundreds of white dwarfs. Clearly there is going to be an element of recycling.
That said, the painting article style is different and there are those that don't have older versions, would enjoy a refresher or are new to the hobby. Its all a huge welcomed change frpm the pointlessness that was WD weekly.

Why sadly? Microbeads are awesome.
This stuff is the absolute easiest way to do loads of bases and the texture is fantastic. I assume these new Citadel paints will be very, very similar.
All GW has done lately is repack a lot of those "secret-not-secret" technical paints that people used. Like the crackle medium, clear red, and now these.

After this year microbeads are illegal in the UK at least that's what was on the news. Stuff like toothpaste that has them will need to reformulate as will these paints surely

What is this microbeads, and why do some people not like them and why would they be illegal in the UK?
