Thank you! The otters really are my favorite out of all of the pets so far. so simple but so neat and yes, cute.

Sorry this is an empty post guys, i'm working on painting but it's going bad. I did find the giant rats though, maybe i'll get something made with one of them for the next real update.

Well it's not a giant rat but i got some more work done on a basic dog and marine! can't find my good light though

Where did you get those bulldogs? they are from old Squats right? Ive been trying to get ahold of one for some time. Do you know of a source?

Those are Mantic Games throwing mastiffs and they come on the fantasy dwarf command sprue.

As a note, as far as i can tell there's only one head option. They are still very fun to mess around with though.

Strange ideas i had: Ethereal Otters, Void Otters, Fists of Lutra (lutra being the scientific name for otter)

There is already noticeable improvement in your painting since the start of the thread.

I don't like Void Otters, but they are a type of Weasel, so how about Void Weasels?

Or Void Hounds? Warp Dogs?

Or Emperor's Bulldogs? Imperial Mastiffs?

This is why i have trouble with names! I am thinking something otter related and void otters seems to be the most liked so... still thinking though.

Yeah, I'm having a lot of fun with all of the neat little things in there. Plus with some extra bits i got lying around, I think i might be able to make six guys out of it instead of five.

So here is my experimental test captain/commander/leader type guy. Lots of cleaning up to do on him



But I tried to pose him with the dog looking up to him in expectation and his shield arm shielding the otter. The head is probably from some chaos thing (heresy!) but i love it. I love it too much.

I love the pose you have for the dog there. I can't wait till you have it painted up. Might show it to my sister (who loves dogs like I love Space marines) to get her to finally paint some minis with me.

Thanks! I was really happy with how the dog's pose ended up too. It's got a lot of mobility for such a simple figure

That's nice conversion work. I like the helmeted scout.

Excellent work on the captain, the posing works really well, and I think the head is from the SW, kit, so no Heresy. The 'wildman' look really works with the animal theme too, so bonus.

The dude holding told is looking good too, reminds me a sorcerer's apprentice type vibe.

Thank you so much everyone! Yeah, i love how wild and wind tossed that head looks, i couldn't pass up using it for someone important. It's good to know he's not (too) heretical.

I've got some painting to do, but to be frank... I'm getting a bit burned out on the marines for now. i get burned out too easy, but i know it just means i need to change things up for a bit.

This is not a substansive post, but just to say that there might be something very different the next time i put something up here. Or it might be a painted marine.
