Though to be honest with you, I don't think they've been much of the 'focus' so far.
Many writers seem to take it more in the direction that maybe Khonshu himself is one of Moon Knight's 'personalities'.
I've been reading INVINCIBLE from the start and maybe because of that, a lot of the stories, while still quite good, seem to be running over familiar ground.
Even now? You have to admit Robot's heel turn is well done and he's a menacing villain.

We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

So, I recently picked up Planet Hulk, and it's sequel World War Hulk, but this left me with the question:
What is the series/book that comes just previous to Planet Hulk?
I think they send him to space just before Civil War happens, but I could be wrong.
After David Goyer said those nasty things about She-Hulk I found out that she was written by Dan Slott for some time. I ordered the TPB and had lots of fun with it. Whacky layer stuff like in the Ace Attorney games, but with super hero rules. Definetly getting the 2nd volume as well.
Superior Spider-Man is done and I loved it. So much fun, very satisfying character and story developement and wonderful art from Humberto Ramos most of the time.

I just wish it wasn't called Guardians of the Galaxy.
The Simonson run is what I liked about Guardians, not the
over-the-top crazy that was Abnett.

I guess I don't see why Abnett's run had to be called GotG.
There were cameos from the original team, sure, but nothing
substantial to what the book was. Maybe I missed something?

The original GOTG took place long way in the future didn't it? I assume they wanted to do a spiderman 2099 kind of thing, but there the one in the future was the original, not the one in the past. Besides, having the name of an established team would definitely help with sales.

I understand why they did it, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.
I might see the film. I won't read the comic anymore.

Well when I was trying to get the trades for the Abnett run (I'm a big Abnett fan) my comic book guy accidentally got the TPB for the original team. I couldn't get into, probably because it wasn't the one I wanted in the first place. Now that Abnett is actually writing that original team now I will pick it up and give it a try.
Not sure why you wouldn't give it a try Malfred if you like the team. You dislike Abnett that much?
I dislike what Abnett did to the comic. If it comes out like
current Guardians but with original characters, then I'm out.

Speaking of Guardians, you know Abnett wrote a Rocket & Groot novel. I'm 2/3 in and enjoy it a lot. It actually feels a little like Douglas Adams, but with more explosions.

Weird. Glad you're liking it though.
You can read the first 3 chapters on IGN, but this about sums it up. ^^
Ok, having just watched guardians of the galaxy it finally pushed me over, I want to get into comics and use them as a stepping stone. Having absolutely no clue as to how their stories work, how many there are, etc, what is a good stepping off point into the guardians of the galaxy stories?
I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

You're in luck. There are 2 ways to get into it. Dan Abnett's run, which reintroduced the characters as we know them today, just got a re-release. The ongoing series from Bendis is also a good start.

If you want to start at the very, very beginning try out a TPB called Annihilation. That leads into Anihilation: Conquest which is the first appearance of the Guardians of The Galaxy iirc. (The new team that is).

Oh man, Asterix has been such a big part of my childhood. I remember, way back on long car drives, my brother and I would play a game, where one quoted Asterix and the other one had to guess which story it came from. Good times.
But yeah, apart from the new one, it's been ages since I actually read one.

I've got a tricky one for you. "These Romans are crazy". Good luck

This is interesting. So the (usually really really terrible) cartoon Ultimate Spider-Man has Spidey travel across the multiverse in his 3rd season. Obiously a tie-in to the Spider-verse event, but what I really found amazing was this:
Those were 79 whole seconds of Ultimate Spider-Man where I didn't feel the need to punch anyone. How did that happen?!
That was weird. Like the Spider-Men crossover....but they're both Ultimate Spider-Men.....but both alternate versions of the Ultimate universe.... Which is an alternate version of the Marvel Universe anyway.
