The latest ancient rogue trader stuff to come my way. the dude with the facial scarring is old world jack and he is the dude! i found his name at http://www.solegends.com/citrt/rt7mercenaries.htm, really pleased with the colour sceme. He is definatly a hardass veteran who fights for the highest bidder

the other guy is a mystery but he is Games workshope and from 1987 i think. I was very pleased with the paint until i took this photo and got to see him properly, now i want to strip him and start again. i think the problem is that my white paint is just some cheap rubbish acrylic i got from jims cash and carry!

Pleased with this guy -my first conversion for a long time- hand modeled him a new gun (s meant to be ai meltagun) and gave him a bobba fet style rocket pack - next up for painting is a mercenary with a space helmet but no shoes (not quite right that) and some very old school elder - getting a can of spray paint specially for them as eldar benefit greatly from smooth paint. please give a little feed back

thanx dude! Its a good color scheme, always stands out! Rogue trader is more of a nostalgia thing for me than because i think the models were better back then - although they do have a certain something...

Heres another one - hes actually got no shoes but i couldnt bear to paint his feet - it just looks daft- a guy in a full space suit with no shoes on. so im saying he is wearing skintight flexi boots. I was going for funky with the paint scheme - like he is a big rich assasin and decided to pimp up his suit and gun

This guy is actually one of their licenced figures for the Rogue Trooper (2000AD) line that GW did back in the day.
He is a Souther trooper, part of the Nu-Earth campaign (a war that has gone on forever).

He was occasionally put into other assorted blisters for 40k stuff as well.

Cool - love rogue trooper, one of my favourite 2000ad stories - yeah i can see the resemblance to a souther now you say it - any idea why he has no shoes? Honest to god you can see his toes - wouldn't want to step in a puddle on nu-eath witout at least a pair of socks...

you can see him as a mercenary at http://www.solegends.com/citrt/rt7mercenaries.htm
they have painted him with shoes too - maybe the sculptor was in a funny mood

No idea.

Maybe he's wearing tabi?

There was also a nort (in full gimp suit) in random 40k 'adventurers' blisters here. I managed to get most of them (4 rogues, 1 Morgen [nort sniper], the general, Maj. Magnam, Venus, Nort, Souther) back in the day.

I do rather like the 'blue trooper' model...

Some stuff from long ago is nice, some stuff...

...not so much!

cool - the blue trooper is nice - I cant find him in the catalog but he is 'GW 1987 blue trooper' on the tab. His armour is very hi tech looking for an imperial - mesh armour perhaps. I have to agree with you about some of these old models - the sculpting could be a little primative - on the other hand some of it is genius - take a look at these imperial troops they kick ass - http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/images-29449-8310_Rogue%20Trader%20Imperials%3B%20Martian%205th%20Regiment.html
