Hi guys, i've recently started a new orc tribe wich I named "da 'ard choppaz" (as you might have guessed from the title), it's a tribe led by an orc warboss and an orc shaman.
The only reason these two don't constantly (but still pretty often) fight over who's da boss is because the warboss thinks "oi diz zappy guy can come in handy" while the shaman thinks "oi diz bashy guy can come in handy".

still working on the fluff part (I haven't even come up with a good name for the warboss , but i'm thinking about something with ... da waaagh!calla).
The warboss' collors are red (scab red) with a black trim, whilst the shaman's collors are yellow (bubonic brown) with a black trim.

I've finished a unit of the warboss (its about 30 boyz big but i've only photographed a unit of 24 of them) and the warboss himself.

I'm currently working on a unit that favours the shaman, finished the standard bearer,9 boyz and the unit filler (wich takes the place of 6 boyz) and atm I'm doing the musician.
After that it's 6 more boyz and the unit champion, wich makes for a unit 24 boyz, a size I commonly use in my games of warhammer (or used, i'll have to see what works best in 8th edition).
after the unit i'll paint the shaman himself.

Before we kick off i'd like to say that with "'ard choppaz" I DO mean their weapons and nothing else, thank you .

first up is the "warboss unit" the guy with the punchy fist is the unit champion:

next up is the warboss himself (i'm sorry for the hand, but the camera just wouldn't seem to focus without it) :

and his back:

thx, i'm hoping to get the musician done this evening and the pictures up. I've decided to give the musician a horn (from the old boar boyz) instead of the drums (although I love those) just to keep my units varied and fun.

I'm not sure if i'll be able to get him all finished because I got a game of warhammer later today (my first with 8th edition, fingers crossed!), but I sure hope to.

Alright, a bit later than expected but here he is, the musician guy from the 2nd unit.
At first I wanted to add a snotling with a drumstick (forgot to take a picture of him, sorry!(I had him painted)) and a little drum to his base, but then found out that I didn't have enough space on his base to do that:(

the battle damage on his armour is something khaine ( http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/266318.page ) taught me

also:Has anyone got some tips on how to do feathering? Because I tried it on his horn but i'm not really happy with it. All help is much appreciated.

Tought i'd show you a picture of my (messy) workspace:

next up is the unit champion.

Looking good! Fast you learn, young padawan!

For the feathering: use a very thin brush, thin your paints so they're a bit opaqua, and be patient
