Just made a deal for this from bootlegbaker

I just picked upo the following in trade

-Madrak Ironhide
-Grim Angus (Fully Painted 8/10)
-Troll Impaler
-Troll Axer
-Trollkin Champions x5
-Kriel Stone Bearer and Scribes

This will be a second force (I've already started Ret)

What should I add (around 50-75 dollars to spend) to make a decent list.

From my experience on the other side of the table from Trolls, I really hate the Fell Caller Hero, who seems to show up in every list I've played against, and the Pyg Burrowers.

The burrowers can be irritating, but are very situational: Their poor RAT and MAT makes it hard for them to hit unless it's a heavy or you've debuffed their target. With Grim's feat, they're solid gold. Otherwise, I'll typically leave them at home.

The Fell Caller is wonderful, although rather dependent on infantry swarms. Mind you, you're playing Trollbloods: If you're not fielding swarms of Tough infantry, there's something wrong with you.

Near the top of my list would be the UA for the Krielstone. It's certainly not necessary, but the extra bonuses are gravy to the larger fury bank.

You'll probably also want a heavy of some sort. You can't really go wrong with any of the Troll warbeasts, but my personal favorites are the Mauler and Earthborn. Mulg is also disgustingly good, but is a wee bit out of your suggested price range if you want anything else. More lights can work too, and I'd personally recommend a Pyre or Slag Troll (the latter, if your meta is WM heavy) for their animi.

Finally, infantry: Your two main choices are the Fennblades and the Kriel Warriors. Monetarily, the Fennblades are the cheaper of the two, as the Kriels fall under the "Fifteen Medium Based Metal Models" umbrella of pricing. The Kriels are a hellish tar pit and can hit rather well between the Fell Caller, their chant, and a Kriel Stone (plus a Caber or three). The Fennblades, on the other hand, are an extremely effective offensive unit that punishes your opponent for thinning their ranks.

A Fell Caller hero is a must, but only if you pickup extra infantry (which you're going to do anyway).

Get yourself a Dire Troll Mauler so you have a heavy and the Rage Animus, it's a solid heavy to use and affordable in points and money.

Also know that the Burrower's MAT can be increased with Fell Caller's call. Since they can attack with their MAT for both their Pickaxe and Slug Gun (due to the Point Blank ability turning it into a melee weapon) a bunch of burrowers attacking at MAT 6 and POW 14 will take the wind out of any front line. They're also not likely to finish off a full unit of burrowers due to DEF 13 and Tough, meaning the remaining burrowers can reburrow on their next turn, and pop up to try and kill the enemy caster, or something else (although usually by then they'll kill the fell caller to make them less effective).

If you want to do ranged, I'd suggest another Impaler, the Blizter, and the Swamp Troll.

1 Impaler can be quite nasty, chucking a powerful spear that can hurt heavies, and also having the chance to get a nasty critical smite to slam enemies hit by it back 1d6" back (which can also kill whatever's behind the slammed model). Two of them throwing spears will put some serious hurt on the enemy and if you get the crit slams you'll be throwing his front lines out of position.

The Blitzer doesn't get enough credit, but it's quite a capable beast. It has a nice mobile gun with enough POW on it to hurt anything and is able to boost to hit and damage. It also has gunfighter, meaning on a charge you get to do both fist attacks and the gun attacks on top. If you kill what's in melee range you can basically get the drop on something important behind the thing you charged. Sadly the MAT/RAT 5 tones things down, but at least you can boost to hit.

Pyre trolls are also good given their animus. Mulg is also a pretty nice add on too.

So I was thinking to add an Impaler and Fell Caller for sure.

Then I was thinking that the Pygs would be good with the Caller.

That leaves me three points left for a 35 point list.
I could add any of this for variety ...

Totem Hunter
Thrullg
Extra Fell caller and Swamp Gobbers

Thoughts?

How about a Troll Hero?
A thresher that doesn't need to be forced seems nice and the commanding Ld value is good for the Dygmies as well.

In my flirting with Trolls i do like Grim Angus out of all the casters.

Bushmys and Digmys are decent, if you look on the PP forums there is a great resource on the Digmys called the 'Burronimicon' or something like that.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Just noting, but Thresher typically doesn't need to be forced for. *Attacks are free, other than giving up your initial attacks. No focus/fury involved.

^That is true.
My intentions of wording like that was to indicate the specific reason why the Troll Hero thresher can be better as opposed to the Axer Thresher that needs to be forced.

-OHHH, man, I gotta read better.
