I field no Chaos forces at this time. This is an Imperial Baneblade, you filthy heretics.

Also, which one of you people took all of my Imperial decal sheets?

Paint a lady on the side of the hull! Add a slightly humorous nickname next to it, and you've got yourself a superheavy with a little spunk!

A little spunk? He said this WASN'T a Slaanesh Baneblade remember!

Even though I have no nostalgia for these armourcast models, for some reason I am really fond of their oldschool simplicity. Especially when some of the excessively underdetailed stuff gets swapped out for more modern bits; it creates the perfect blend of old and new!

Thankfully, a store in the UK sells JUST THIS ONE BIT. Took a bit of searching to find it, but enough to extend all six missiles are on their way, along with some more shells and a Baneblade crew. Just 'cause if I'm going to order from the UK, I might as well make it worth the shipping cost.

The shells will be used in a future project, tentatively titled 'Brian builds a full interior for a Leman Russ'. Regretfully, to do this project correctly, I need an OLD SCHOOL Leman Russ. Like, really old school.

Sigh.

Great recovery job on the Baneblade,

As for the full-interior Lean Russ (I'd guess you might already know, but just in case) there's a cross-section schematic of one in Imperial Armour V1 (Imperial Guard and Imperial Navy). Chimera's and a Baneblade or Stormlord's (maybe you'd like to interiorize that one too!)

In only 1850 points, I can cram in three Knight Titans, a pair of Leman Russ battletanks, a Banehammer, and a pair of IG veteran squads.

This is a perfectly legal Warhammer 40K army.

Embrace the utterly crazy, I guess.

So, got in a good game of Necromuda with my friend Dave. A lot of learning was done, and it was an enjoyable afternoon!

The table:

We rolled off, he chose the side and I won the toss to go first.

He chose to deploy across his side of the board, which allowed me to do a refused flank maneuver, and try and focus my amazingly short-ranged firepower. I left a small group of a heavy flamer and two acolytes up the middle, to slow down his flanking forces trying to attempt any encirclement.

My forces 'rush' forward along a board edge, trying to hug whatever cover is available. Dave's heavy-with-a-missile-launcher climbs up to a vantage point, and his eventual missile shot would do tremendous damage, but too late in the game, as I was forcing bottle rolls starting a few turns previous.

I managed to get two heavy flamer shots off in this game, and they are fairly brutal. My gang got bunched up trying to push into the building he occupied, but I was eventually able to knock his forces down, and gain access to whatever technology was within!

In the middle, I was able to roast his leader, but at the cost of everyone else over there. But trying up half his gang with a quarter of mine was well worth it.

I know that a lack of long range firepower is going to hurt in this campaign, so I have to hope for lots of cover, good tables, and some interesting rolls on the trading post tables! On the plus side, my gang rating is quite low at start (can't hire any 'hired guns'), so I should gain some good XP, and be able to promote some novices, quickly!

The former launch facility is mine!

Definitely a busy table. Looks like fun was had, which is the main point after all. The gang look great in the shots.

Think Necro was my favourite game ever.

One of the dumpsters (the sleeker one) is from Reaper, their Bones line.

The other ones, the chunkier ones, are from Warsenal!

Excellent report Brian, just loved it! Brings back all kinds of warm, fuzzy, Necromunda memories. I remember that cardboard terrain too.

My how time flies.

Finally got off of my butt, and while working on rebuilding my life, decided to repair "the twins". Behold the glory days, when GW gave away awesome trophies for things OTHER than Golden Demons.

(for some value of 'give', you had to buy them as part of the tournament packages they offered)

Won 'em, fair and square. 40K was a large Rogue Trader tournament, BFG was at a GW Grand Tournament. Rather proud of that one.

Repaired the broken wings, gave them a good dusting, and touched up the paint.
