I once had a dog that would have made a great mascot, he was a lab/husky/boxer/akita cross and looked like a miniature Kodiak Bear.

I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.

You could always go another direction and have animals like Goats,I remember seeing a couple of pictures of British regiments with goat mascots they had the regiments colours as a coat over the animal.
Could also double as a standard if the coat cover has the regiment emblems on it .

As someone who has pygmy goats, a Regimental goat would be awesome That goat has a fine set of horns.

I think the Broolians would be jealous if goats became regimental mascots.

Ok, I think this wins my vote for a mascot...

HMS LANCASTER had a parrot, called Sunny (if I remember correctly) and had been taught to say things by the Ship's Company.

"Zulus! Faasends of 'em" was one such phrase.

Due to the other more colourful phrases taught to Sunny, along with the parrot's random nature, the bird was not allowed to meet the Queen!

I missed the post that has everyone posting animals but I assume interest is being polled for specific quirky pets?

I would suggest that attention is paid to Raging Heroes existing mascots. I don't know what they offer but redundancy could create sales issues.

That said, I like the idea of the goat. A bear in an ill-fitted uniform would also be interesting. Parrots and other birds would be neat and have applications in pirate type settings. I would want those to be over the top on plumage though to allow painting opportunities.

If nobody mentioned it yet, a pig would be interesting.

Raging Heroes has a bulldog, a cat and a hippo.

Oh yes, piglets would be fun!

I enjoy that picture. She looks so resolute and sad. The Lazgun cells recharging by the fire shows how desperate the situation is getting. Definitely my next guard force.

The parrot and the Royal Consort would get on marvellously then!

Thank you for nobody suggesting the Highlanders get sheep. Seriously, thank you for staying classy.

Why sheep for Highlanders? In my mind the association with sheep is something firmly held by the Welsh. I've seen this for the Scottish somewhere else before and I am wondering where it has appeared from? Highlanders are more strongly associated with cattle to me (incidentally, a Highland cow would be a great mascot).

London, UK.

When I visited Melbourne some years back I found that the local armour Regiment had a Leopard as their mascot. It was kept in the zoo, with his retired predecessor in the adjoining cage. Only time I've seen animals with rank and serial numbers.

All this talk of regimental mascots and not one mention of Private Wojtek

How many other mascots can say they helped defeat the Nazis. Edit: and have their own beer ...

I think Vic is just going to have to make a line of random animals.

If we're going to wishlist minis of actual mascots, then how about Sgt. Stubby? He served with the US Army in WWI and is the most decorated dog of the war. He survived multiple gas attacks and captured German Spies. Not bad for a Boston Terrier mix.

Oh please, you're forgetting the single most recognizable animal mascot in the world, that of the USMC.

Yeah, but unlike Raging Heroes stuff, if Victoria does one it might actually be released.

To be fair, their stuff DOES get released and it is very nice-looking from the online photos. Vic just won't take money for it in advance and wonder why people are getting antsy after she's scrapped the sculpt for the fifth time because the eyebrows didn't look right and is now a year behind schedule. She's weird like that I gather.

Current rivet count 1704. This does NOT include rivets/bolts on wheels, tracks, or hydraulic lifting arms. This will go up by 100-400 or so in the next few hours.

I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.
