So after 5 attempts at delivery I finally got my sniper team today ! And after cleaning them up I've started on a small diorama of two spec ops troopers one triggerman and a spoter with a scope/ camera tripod and a data slab . I'm imagining theses guys grav shooting in then lieing up till they get there Target and then getting picked up by valk . More packs and gubbings to add yet and more work on the base to do. As for paint I'm gona attempt digi desert camo on there fatigues and a tan/coyote colour on the armour. So let me know what you think !.

As a suggestion, perhaps you could add a few spent shells on the right side of the triggerman? I just think that'd look cool.

Through and through, this has the making of amazing about it.

My only real crit is that the clay wall has ridges from your finger I believe and that some spent casings and just a form of basing to cover the black base, but other than those few things looks great.

Can I suggest trying a different camera if possible, these photos are milky/foggy.

...Why would you have a "tripod" for a sniper rifle? That's pretty ridiculous.

Tripods are used for crew served weapons, not sniper rifles.

Bipods are used for sniper rifles, and not even always then because it's a bit better of an idea to use something more solid(like sandbags or backpacks, from what I've been told) to use to steady the shot.

Anyways. Color me impressed on this piece, it's very very dynamic and conveys a big "moment in time" feel.

The sniper will be resting his weapon on a pack , the base is just the basics its gona look like a mud building with a earth floor and bricks and dust everywhere. also the sniper is gona be on a mat. there wont be shell caseings as its alas weapon but i mite have some spare hotshot clips lined up .

Something that might be kind of cool to do, as an aside, is to strip the fluffy bits out of a strip of medical gauze and drape it over the top of the "hide" as a kind of camo netting.

Yeah i was thinking of a way to do cammo netting but i think it may block the top to much ...i ll have a play lol

What you want to do is take some thin metal rod and stretch it out to look like a "canopy" from a soft-topped truck. Thread that rod through the netting and it can be adjusted as necessary so it obscures, but doesn't block.

Started on the paint scheme. Digi fatigues brown armour and a spray painted weapon and tan webbing.

Right redone the base as it was poo ! Also added a spoter and changed the chap with the data pad to a com specialist by adding a small satellite dish uplink. The base is gona look like the top of a tower when its done just gota add detail like a broken tv aerial and stuff like that .....

Looks really good! The sniper's boots were the first thing I noticed in the picture with the model painted. They look very nice and leather-y. Keep it up!

Looking really cool dude. Bit late now but maxmini do a really nice 50cal type sniper rifle, been thinking of trying to find a place for it myself, check it out might be good for the next project.

Top notch stuff. One thing, small thing.
The radio is too far away from the spotter and the comms man. It really should'nt be beside the sniper who's whole purpose is to make the shot .In a scenario like this, the comms man would have an ear set on so that the radio would'nt have to have its volume up to be heard and give their position away.
An easy fix, should you choose to do it.
That aside, its still better than anything I've attempted and I look forward top seeing it through its completion.

Yep don't worry worldwarme the radio pack will be next to the radio op with a curly wire going between them . Done a bit more in the base

Ok I've finished the base added wooden window shutters a clothes line complete with boxershorts ! Some mats and some empty rubbish packets ! Also added a schamagh to the spoter dude .
