oh well.

What are you referring to?

http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Zoat

I knew what a Zoat is- I was just curious as to what reminded them of one. Which was the Malaceptor.

They already adapted some of the Zoat look years ago with the Hive Guard.

Honestly, people have such bizarre notions of what is owed to them. Stacks of cool models and multiple play styles with one strong compeittive build is fine.

Continued support is great.

While I agree that this release isn't really a case of "screwing the fanbase", can we drop the 'everything is fine, nothing is broken' attitude? The new psychic bug is an objectively terrible unit. Over 200 points for something that might glance a vehicle once. Yippee!

It's awful, and as far as "continued support", there is a line. Support is great, but when it's something as lame as that thing, most people would rather live without.

I will admit I was being fairly hyperbolic when I said that GW was screwing over the fanbase, but really bad support is almost as bad as no support. Giving models with bad rules makes less room for models with good rules. The silver lining to this is that since these are probably going to get digital rules, they could easily be updated to suck less.

Would the new Nid/ BA starter set include a soft copy of the rules?

I asked this on the BA thread and there seemed to be opposing views on if Stormclaw included a soft copy rule book.

I did not see Stormclaw on GW anymore.

Did SC include a rulebook? I hope this starter set does.

Stormclaw did include a soft copy rulebook.

It was the exact same as the one that you get with Dark Vengeance.

However Storm Claw also included a "scenario book" which was built around the contents of the box.

I'm hoping the nids/BA box has a soft copy rule book in it. I could use another 4 copies for my gaming group and I'm at my limit for DA and CM models.

Three questions:

1: How was the Red Waaagh! Campaign book?
2: What are the chances we get such a book to go with this Leviathan set?
3: If we get such a book what are the chances it will have new Blood Angel Formations and all the existing Nid ones?

We are the reasons that GW exist. You may argue we aren't owed x,y or z, but the fact is GW owe us everything.

If they're not making things that we want, either because they're not aesthetically pleasing or don't function well in game (or, in I'm sure a very rare situation, function too well) then they will simply, well, be in the situation they appear to be in.

OT: I'm also in the camp of the new pictures do the new bug a lot of favours - have no particular dog in the Nid fight, but I'm happier for all the Nid players that it at least looks decent, even if it's not awesome in game.

I don't know if I'd want any. I already have 6. Some of them are made of lead!

Huh, given that the BA in that box are almost entirely CC focused (including the Dread) the addition of Lictors to the Nid side isn't horrible.

Might actually pick it up just for plastic lictors though. One of my favorite nid models.

I've been looking for an excuse to run Deathleaper's Asssasin Brood, but... 6 lictors. This might push me to run that formation! Especially if they are in plastic.

This is going to get very expensive for me. First the new nid bugs, next the campaign box and i assume we will have a couple books like stormclaw.

I am questioning the lictors. Would they release new plastic lictors in with the campaign? it seems like the LE characters might be a big enough draw for the campaign.

Excited to hear Lords of Wargaming chime in on this as this rumor set is their baby and the other folks just seem to be chiming in/speculating about it.
