So... the yellow bug has got me. Truthfully, I was looking at the lonely ol' Lysander in my display case and decided he needed some mates, and I need a killteam sorting... I quite like Assault Marines, so I'm gonna try running with a small jump pack squad... FNP on the PP, Infiltrate, a PG and MB's on the sergeant and someone with fleet... I expect some light vehicles (Sentinels) from my IG playing mate...

Here's the glossed sergeant (we don't bother with WYSIWYG for Meltabombs etc):

And here's the decal sheet I've made for what will be an IF battle company (eventually):

And er, yeah, I can make the sheets on an a commission basis. Check my blog for details. ;-)

Model looks great! Very clean and excellent highlights.

Just an FYI - GW might have a problem with you selling transfer sheets of trademarked symbols. Sucks, I know. :/

Hmm. I do actually recommend folks use the GW insignia (chapter logo) as I have no means to print white. The tactical markings are all numbered, which is something the GW and FW ones don't. No challenge is intended to the trademark at all - the service I aim to provide is more in the customisation side of things (I want x number of tactical symbol type 1, x number of type 3 etc) and literally produce each sheet I sell individually.

I don't really see it any differently to handpainting the insignia on someone's minis as a commission. I should also point out that as these are home-printed they are a fair bit harder to work with than the screen-printed and pre-cut decals you get with the official kits. Again, if you don't know what you're doing, avoid these.

It's a bit of a grey area I know. time will tell I guess! I imagine they watch these forums like hawks, if they are going to serve you with a C+D you'll find out soon!

I wish GW would realize that they're damaging their brand (rather than protecting it) when they go after industrious modellers like yourself.

Looks good so far, i think the finished team will look great if they are all painted to this standard. The yellow would work well for lamenters too the transfer sheet is good aswell, lots of nice touches not seen on standard sheets.

Just to make it clear - I cannot offer these sheets for general sale as they contain GW copyright material - I can only produce them with any degree of freedom as part of a commission (wherein the production of the decals is no different to having the insignia hand painted).

Decalled up the sergeant. I'll pop a tutorial post up very soon with the method I used to apply the decals. They came out quite nice!

Commission wise, it's the Space Hulk Terminators on SE-Asian style jungle bases, to pretty high standard (some competition grade in there). Personally my group of friends have been trying to get sorted for some Kill Team games in addition to our normal Bloodbowl, so it's the rest of the IF assault squad for me. I only get a couple of days here and there to paint my own personal stuff (commissions and 3 kids kind of eat into your personal time), but I hope to do at least one marine a weekend and maybe a couple more around Christmas.

The nice thing about KillTeam is you don't need to paint many figures for it (and I refuse to play unpainted, I'm old enough to be crabby about such things!).

Lol, i wont play unpainted, thats why im trying to get mine painted so i can play my first game of 40k in donkeys years. I'm impressed - not just with the quality of the paintjob, but with the decals. I've never seen decals go on without looking tacky before. Nice work.

Putting on decals properly is a bit of an art. I've put a tutorial up in the relevant section.

Lovely yellow and those decals are nicely applied and used.

Never had much joy with the damned things myself.

Same here, I always freehand those. I do love the paintjobs though. Very nice looking models.
