Was playing around with some Orc Warboss builds and had a question. If you give your boss Fencer's Blades, Glittering Scales and Effigy of Mork, how would you work that out in CC? Most things would need a 5+ to hit him, with -1 to hit with the Scales and -1 to hit from the Effigy - would you use the shooting table to hit with 6s then 4s, or is there some other rule portion that would cover it?

To hit in close combat a 6 is always a success, same with wounding.

"Sometimes modifiers apply to these rolls, but a natural dice score of 6 always hits and a natural dice score of 1 always misses."

2,000 - He alone has the Emperor's soul in his blood.
2,500 - Order. Unity. Obedience.

So you'd usually just drop one. Either the blades to give him something a bit meaner, or the scales for some heavier armour, or the effigy to get a more generally useful talisman (like a 4+ Ward).

A similar question came up with the Wood Elves and their...Dawn Spear?...and Annoyance of Nettlings.

Still, needing 6's to hit the Warboss is not bad at all. For the Warboss, that is.
