Hello all,
I'm just getting into fantasy and I'm trying to wrap my head around the percentage based composition. It's not too complicated, however, I'm a little confused as to how mixed units work within these bounds. I'm going to try lizardmen so I'll use them as my example.

Ex1: Slaan w/ temple guard: Obviously the Slaan's points go towards the lords and heroes 25%, but does his temple guard count towards the lords and heroes cost or do they go under their own catgeory still?

Ex2: Skinks w/ Kroxigors: Do units composed of skinks and kroxigors contribute their total point cost towards core units, or do you count the kroxi seperately?

Thanks for the help

Units that are composed from members of different sections coun't their memberstowards their repective section, units that come from the same section count as the same.
So yo use lizardmen examples like you did.
A slaan who is a lord goes in lors, while his TG crew go towards special. A unit of skinks which is upgraded to contain croxigor will go towards core, while a unit of just kroxigor will go towards their own entry as special.

As Hover has said.

This is a bit confusing at first, because it seems contradictory, but it is not. A Slann is chosen on his own, as are the temple guard. When deployed on the field, the Slann must be deployed with the unit of temple guard. They become one unit, but only during the game. For purposes of army selection they are separate units.

Skinks with Kroxigor are different however. If purchased together, they are always one unit, and the unit selection is under the "Core" section of the codex. In this case, your Skinks and Kroxigor count entirely towards your core %.

If you take Kroxigor on their own, then you are choosing that unit from the "Special" section of the codex, and their points will count towards the special %.

2,500 - Order. Unity. Obedience.
