This is a major issue for me as well. Its one of the main reasons why I don't play warmachine.

The prefect example of someone missing the point.
Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

That's exactly the reason I don't and is the first reference that comes to mind when I have argued this in the past.

Well there is a 'heroes of the solar system' system which allows you to make your own characters, but it is very rudimentary.

Okay, I got to open up my box tonight! I have to say, I'm pretty damn pleased with what I got.

Overall, everything looks good. I have no major miscasts. The Bauhaus guys all look good. Their helmet spikes are indeed super tiny and many were broken off, but since I was planning on cutting them off anyway, it's no issue for me. Their carry handles were all full and well cast, too.

My Vulkan has some very slight mold slip issues and the Bauhaus symbols on the legs are pretty soft. The biggest issue with it is that there were two air bubbles that formed on the chest. I may just work it as battle damage or fill them in though depending on my mood when I get to building it. We'll see.

One question though, there's two torsos in the Hussar set that don't have the shoulder pads attached. Were there supposed to be loose shoulder pads to glue onto them? If there are, mine are missing them. And were they supposed to come with rocket launchers?

Everything else looked pretty good from what I could see. Yeah, there's a lot of flash and I would question the way the Banshees are attached to their sprues, but everything appears to be good. The one, big issue with my order is that my Atilla/Cuirassier was missing from my starter set.

So, who exactly do I need to contact regarding missing content?

Who do you contact if you have not got anything, not even the promised tracking number?

To both questions orders@warzonegame.com would probably work. It's what I contacted regarding missing bits and I believe it also handles queries on KS orders.

I got a response from Prodos this morning about my missing Atilla. Apparently they were out of stock on it and will be shipping him to me when they do the second wave stuff.

I'm glad they wrote back to me about it in a relatively timely manner, but it would have been nice if that informed me ahead of time that there were stock issues with that figure, rather than leaving me to think that he was just plain missing. I'll give Mantic credit that at least they put a note in my shipment about which items they were going to be sending in wave 2.

Got to play a few games of Warzone at TempleCon. Among my thoughts:

-Turn and burn mechanic can seriously hurt you if you aren't prepared for it (Dark Legion Melee Monster Warlord Alakhi(sp?) closing th distance to my Bauhaus and murdering them outright).
-You need LOTS of terrain on the table. Like Infinity lots or more. Shooting can be very killy.
-No armor modification on heroes is odd, and I'm not sure we were using it properly.

Definitely a blast to play, however!

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.

I paint things occasionally. Some things you may even like!

So did anybody got a reply from them?

Because I rate no delivery and no response after so much time... a bit low.

Yeah, good use of resources can really have a big impact on things. Stacking various generic and unit-specific boosts can cause some pretty neat effects. Still remember my buddy pouring a bunch of resources in to Max Steiner to net him a high-strength initial shot with his deathlockdrum that managed to one-shot the enemy warlord (the lucky crit definitely helped since it obviated armour and heal checks as well).

-You need LOTS of terrain on the table. Like Infinity lots or more. Shooting can be very killy.

This is both a yes and no in my mind. The low cap on weapon ranges (some things buck the trend of course) means it lacks Infinity's danger of falling prey to uber long-ranged weapons like the HMG that have a sweet-spot a mile wide. But that said, the simple weapon ranges mean that, in the open, that 24" range rifle is effective at any range (unlike in Infinity where things have specified sweet spots). In general, I found that this led to people keeping engagement distances long if they had a good patch of cover to own. And at the very least, vehicles seem to be able to tank damage fairly well (unlike a TAG which can get shredded if you aren't careful). Still, definitely want terrain to be fairly dense, but I feel it has more leeway for open sight lines and the like. But yes, shooting can be devastating (this has always been a hallmark of Warzone; it was always brutally unforgiving).

-No armor modification on heroes is odd, and I'm not sure we were using it properly.

How were you using it? The no armour mods simply means they wont eat extra penalties from specific weapon types (plasma, piercing, blast, etc.) not that their armour is never reduced. The armour modifiers listed in the unit are only used to determine what damage types something is weak (or strong) against. So while a unit of Chasseur eat a -3 additional armour penalty when hit with blast weapons, most character don't care what damage type they get hit with (and most also come with a lower cap on what their armour can be reduced to). If you were using it like that, then it was 100% kosher. If you were not applying any penalties to their armour roll for weapon strength, then yeah, that was an oversight.

Well that makes Alahki a lot less scary. His armor save was unreal! Good to know it only applies to weapon types.

I'll have to get another game in, but I'd agree with you on sight lines, long range doesn't matter as much, but advancing through multiple rounds of shooting? Lunacy.

Hey, y'all are not allowed to have fun playing this until we all have our models in hand. Pack em back up and await the go ahead from the unlucky few(I think more than a few) of us that havent gotten our stuff yet.

Yeah, being out of cover is horrid if you don't have much going for you (Stealth, Stalker or cards if you are playing advanced games). I find that breaking up a nasty long-ranged fire fight with a Rapid Deployment squad or a vehicle with some CQB weapons tends to do the trick (the latter is also handy as mobile cover for a supporting squad).

They updated the KS page. Apparently 40 packages were returned and had to be sent again and there are 8 packages that lack an owner or said owner can't be contacted by PRODOS and they suggested contacting them at orders@warzonegame.com if you don't get yours by the end of this week.

I don't know why PRODOS is not answering your mails perhaps your address has been tagged as spam and they are not reading it?

In the previous update they said the same and that they would send tracking numbers too.

My email was not in their spam filter when they contacted me before the initial shipping time.
