Being bored as I am I read through all the current FAQ/Erratas
When I got to the WoC I saw a possible unintended ruling, not sure though since I don't have the WoC rulebook as this might be explained in it.

Q: Can a model with the Third Eye of Tzeentch cast any spells from
the Lore of Life as the lore attribute allows him to recover Wounds
lost earlier in the battle? (p111)
A: Yes, apart from Regrowth. The lore attribute’s effect is not
part of the spell itself.

This is obviously meant to solve the issue with regaining wounds to another model by stealing a lore of life spell.
My question is...since lore attribute's aint part of the spell you "borrow", this will count for all lores. So Fire spells won't be flaming...and most metal spells can't wound since the wounding process is in the lore attribute. I am getting this right/wrong or has this been discussed to death already(did not find any thread about it, though I suck at using the search function effectively)?

I guess I read this as- the lore attribute still takes effect. So you can still use the spell and the lore attribute (since the prohibition is on the spell). This may or may not be correct, but it at least eliminates the conflict.

“It was in lands of the Chi-An where she finally ran him to ground. There she kissed him deeply as he lay dying, and so stole from him his last, agonized breath.

On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”

Hmm...this might be a case of reading it all wrong..(damm english being a second language)
The way I read it now forbids the use of the regrowth spell, since it regains wounds but still allows you to use the lore attribute to heal one wound.

I think this is right on. Any other interpretation, as the OP points out, make lore of metal not function.

Right, guessed I was sure to miss something(note to self: Learn how to not fail when using the search engine).
Now lets just let this thread die so I can get on with my life.
