I've decided to collect Necrons as my 3rd army and made this list to start collecting/playing them at my local GW store. Ways To Improve?

10 Warriors 180

10 Warriors 180

Drop 10 warriors, the heavy destroyers, and probably the tomb spiders. Add more destroyers.
-OR-
Drop the above, and the lord, and add in the deciever with 3 3 man wraiths squads, but be warned YMMV with this build.

Don't underestimate Heavy Destroyers, Necrons don't have many guns that can penetrate heavily armoured vehicles and they can be life-savers. The Tomb Spyders are a good call, as long as you always keep one near a warrior squad. Whilst C'Tan are good, in a 1500 point army I don't know if they're worth it so much, I have the Nightbringer and, as good as he is, I wouldn't put him AND a Monolith in a game that's lower than 2k. Overall, a pretty solid army, though a second Lord wouldn't go amiss, as you want everything covered by those Res Orbs.

Not focused at all.....

I think 20 Warriors is really what should be used, they just don't do enough damage for me.
I would also start your Lord with just a res orb and warscythe, and add extras if you have the points.
You really need to decided if you like Monoliths or destoyers, both can be used, but i think you can get a more solid army just focusing on one of them.

Never take more than 2x10 warriors, unless you are playing in 'ard boyz and then consider taking 3x10 warriors.

I'm Thinking Of Troop Choices for Obj Games, And Plus If I Dropped them i'd need more necrons to stop my army from being easy to phase out.

I suggest dumping the monolith then and taking more destroyers or pickup some immortals

The Monolith Has It's Moments, Being My Only Armour In The List, But It Can Fire The Particle Whip And The Gauss Turrets Making It A Good Unit When Deep-Striked Into Close Range. It Can Also Help My WBB roles with necron units.

The Monolith can't fire its Particle Whip and Gauss turrets on the same turn and it also takes up alot of points in your army which could be used for better stuff like Destroyers or Wraiths but yea it can be usefull for pulling warriors out of combat or making a big sheild for them.

It can if it doesn't move, but no not on the turn it comes down :(

Monoliths are WBB factories more than destructive powerhouses.

Like was said above, definitely not focused enough.

Typical list building for Necrons below 2000 points goes: choose HQ (of which a footslogging Lord with non-res orb upgrades is not a good choice), take two units of Warriors, add a Monolith (or two if you're inclined to), fill with Destroyers.

Really if you want a melee monster Lord it's Destroyer Body/Phase Shifter/Warscythe.

Heavy Destroyers sound pretty decent on paper but they're not really. Even in this mechanized meta-game I would rather assign a squad of Warriors to glance a vehicle over and over than spend points on them.

Destroyers just put out too many shots, on a solid toughness base, at an extremely long range. To avoid WBB they're your best bet.

The Particle Whip is Ordanance so you cant fire it and another weapon on the same turn.

One would say though, that you can fire the particle whip AND the turrets if you fire the turrets first, it says the particle wip may ALWAYS fire, so it doesn't matter if it's ordanance and you've fired the blasters.
