As title does the Venerable Dreadnought include a multi melta? Looking on G.W's site pictures doesn't appear it does, which is weird as standard wargear.

Can anyone confirm?

Thanks

Doesn't show up in the list of supplied pieces either, so I'd go with no. You may be able to snag an Assault on Black Reach dread pretty cheap on eBay and they have the MM standard. You'd just have to gussy up the dread itself to make it look "venerable".

Sorry, must have been confused
As explained in the vid the options are a bit hit or miss
and there was mention of the AoBR Dread

There's no multi melta at 7:14 at all.

Stupid as the multi melta is standard wargear. I was thinking AOBR Dreadnoughts but I like the funky detail on the Venerable. I wound if I could get a normal Dreadnought multi melta and make it fit instead.

It probably wouldn't be too hard to adapt a MM from another source (such as a Land Speeder) to fit on a Venerable Dread.

Only the AoBR dred has a MM. neither the standard nor the Venerable has a MM.

this is a hangover from the 4th ed codex that had Assault Cannons as the standard armament.

you will either have to buy a AoBR dred or shell out for a FW MM arm.

I guess I could get a AOBR arm and add a crap load of purity seals on it

Hi Mercer

Sorry again about the confusion, was in the process of dashing out when replying and trying to find the reference. Misunderstood what was said on the video.

Guess there is always a chance of picking something up on ebay
Would it be possible to add some of the decorations from the venerable kit onto a AoBR MM?

Looks like most of the deco is moulded into the plastic :(

One thing to keep in mind about adding the AoBR MM onto a boxed Dread is that you'll have to expand the hole on the arm to fit the peg on the body.

You could take the missile launcher arm (that rarely gets used) and put a Multi-Melta on the back end (that way when you rotate the arm 180 to put it on the right side the gun points forward.
This example is the flame cannon i use when i want a Siege Dreadnought. Using a MM should be just as easy:

Bearing in mind that the ven dread has weapons that plug into the front of the shoulder it's pretty easy to make interchangeable options.

Buy or scrounge a multi-melta from a Demolisher - they're perfect.

This is a good idea, I never tried those parts to see if they fit. The Ven also comes with spare "shoulder skin" pieces you could probably put over the black reach dread arm.

Thanks for the info guys on the multi melta - is it about the same size as the weapons on the Dreadnought already?

Compare the pick above to the FW arm - the melta is about the same size.
