3 ML is not enough AT for 2000, get some heavy weapon squads.

Yeah, I think I agree. I'd drop the 4th squads and all those grenade launchers for 480 points, and turn them into something else. Either meltaguns, or some SWSs or some stormies, or a big pile o' HWSs, or something.

There are three PCS in Chimeras with 4x Melta, a PCS with 4x Plasma (and a pistol), plus a CCS with 4x Plasma. Add all the MBs and that's still not enough AT? Sounds pretty good.

Yes, there are 3 command squads in Chimeras with meltas, but those are going to be some priority targets to eliminate. It's best to have a few more AT options. In blob lists, HWS are almost required. Although I really think Ailaros is the guy to go for when it comes to things like this.

that list has way too much short-range weaponry in it. I'd ditch the power weapons and melta bombs. You're Guard. If you're in close combat you won't live to use it.

I'd also drop the special weapons out of your guardsmen squads. it reduces the effectiveness of certain orders... especially if you combine those platoons into 3 squads of 30 frfsrf does a lot of damage (I'd take a dice bucket though).

If you reorganise the list to free up 525pts you'll be able to take 15 lascannons.

Hmmmm can't have heavy weaps in one Platoon as some have suggests because good old Al makes the ENTIRE Platoon outflank which means heavy weaps cannot fire. But what you could do maybe is get some meltas on a Special Weaps Team which outflank..?

Since I'm going for an heavy-less list, it makes sense to add in the HWS, despite the fact that I now need to go buy another box of them. Such tragedy!
