I know the GL look out of place but iv had some really good luck with them the past couple of games. Im trying to bring as much firepower while still maintaining a large tactically flexible blob list. I was thinking about dropping an autocannnon HWS in favor for another lascannon HWS. C&C welcome.

Actually, dump all the grenade launchers in the officer squads and use the points to upgrade the missile launchers to lascannons. This will give you a free 15 points which should probably be spent on a regimental standard to keep your HWSs on the table.

That or you could make a list that's actually 1500 points, in which case instead of taking a standard, you take a power weapon for your CCS, or something.

I never thought of taking a standard. dropping all GL's and a meltabomb would put me in the clear for uping the 3 ML's to 3 LC's + the regiment standard.

Will 9 Lascannons be enough long range AT?

yes.

Remember, you have a LOT of melta in the blobs. They're your primary form of anti-tank. The lascannons are just there to handle the stuff that it's hard to get meltaguns on, like skimmers.

You can never have enough long range AT.

Even if there are no tanks to shoot at.
