It's been a while since I posted, but here is one of the projects I'm currently working on. It's an Ultramarines Diorama, WIP. I still need to finish the Tau victim, add weathing pigment, and OSL to the model(s). As always, tell me what you think. Sorry for the pics, I'm still figuring out how to use this new camera.

Awesome! I'd give it a 9/10, but then I noticed it was an Ultramarine, so it gets a 5.5/10

Well we definitely need better pictures. The paint jobs look awesome though from what I can tell.
I think compositionally it seems a little slow or static and perhaps not that exciting. A badarse Space Marine Captain (or better) standing above one of the weakest creatures in the galaxy hah.

I don't like the way the Tau is cradling his gun. He should be reaching out to the SM for mercy, or something like that.

The Tau guy is not exactly a "permanant fixture". I have some spare bits that I might experiment with to see with what I can't come up with. I tried repositioning the arm with a weapon in it several times, comming up with only frusturation.

Have any 'loose' tau weapons? Set it on the ground, and gs an open hand on the tau's arm, or an entire arm if you are good with gs

Great looking diorama man, just ignore the ultramarine haters, they're just jealous.

I have tons actually. I was first going for a "quick draw" kind of pose for the tau, both models aiming weapons at their opponent. Though, I figured with the use of OSL, it would make the Ultramarine captain seem like the clear winner.
Perhaps I can use a grenade arm to make an outstretched arm for the fire warrior, so he could reach for a pulse carbine?

Well, that Ultramarine comment did make me chuckle.
I do hate Ultras, too. But when there is good work it is good work, regardless of chapter, race, species, xeno, etc..
Good job A+.
One quick question -- is the Tau already completely owned? Or is he in his death throes trying to retaliate? I do like the idea of him trying to reach a far off carbine. You might also splay his legs out a bit more. They seem kinda.. straight for getting thrown around by a marine.

The idea is that the fire warrior has met his demise, and knows it. Instead of running, he chooses to die, weapon in his arms. At least thats what this fire warrior has chose.
If I can find a good set of crouched tau legs and another torso, I could probaly make a more "believable" pose.
