Would it be better to paint a tank before or after assembly?

After.

Otherwise, you're going to get superglue all over your paint job. That and it might not glue together tightly.

Mostly after, but its usually best to leave off any removable bits like turrets, etc.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I usually assemble the tank, spray it, then spray the tracks while they're still on the sprue, assemble the tank, and paint from there. Just be careful with the glue.

Most tanks don't have any interior to speak of. They have detailing for other reasons, including conversions, but I stopped bothering even basecoating the interior. Hardly anyone looks inside, and I can't be bothered to waste that effort, further to which, if there are parts on the inside of that tank that I could use elsewhere to prettify stuff.... its not going on the inside of the tank.

It doesn't matter how bloody far the apple falls from the tree. If the apple fell off of a Granny Smith, that apple is going to grow into a Granny bloody Smith. The only difference is whether that apple grows in the shade of the tree it fell from.
