This is a project that I have been working on for a couple of days to try and improve my sculpting.
Everything bar the hands, the hammer, and the base bits is sculpted.
You may notice that I have copied a lot from existing models but I guess this is all part of the learning process.

Hope you like it as much as I do!

Thanks,

Tom

Looks good! I like the head especially. What putty did you use?

Look Amazing!!

The chest plate seems, bear throw a Seal or two on it, or and engraving.

Just me 2 cents.....

Hey look buddy, I'm an engineer; that means I solve problems.
Not problems like 'What is beauty?', because that would fall within the purview of your conundrums of philosophy.
I solve practical problems.

You're definitely on your way to becoming a damn good sculptor, I'd say. The detail work/accessories, especially, are quite nice. I think your biggest weakness, at this point, is the underlying form and pose.

Looking at this guy, I feel like he'd look a lot more natural if his chest was pushed back and his left leg was slid in. The more oblique shots are a lot more forgiving, but seen head-on, those parts are a bit out of whack. Not as big of an issue with heroically proportioned stuff like this as, say, a true-scale/anatomical/nude figurine, but getting those core forms in line, I think, will bump you from "tons of potential" to "already damned good."

Thanks for sharing and keep sculpting (and showing us your progress )!
