I've been playing with a few different methods of doing this, because I loathe not having everything painted on my minis, and was wondering if anyone has any good suggestions or methods they've used to do this effectively.

thanks for your input!

I have an idea how to do it... it involves paper clips, extra bases, some putty, and a pin vise.

Create a stand:

Unfold a paperclip until it resembles a long rod. Green stuff it to an extra base you have lying around.

Put the model together but instead of using glue for the joins... just put them on using putty or something that will allow you to take apart the model after priming.

After priming, take the model apart and drill holes to where the joints are. Use those holes in conjunction with the paperclip/base stands so you can paint them without holding on to the pieces.

Paint pieces.

...

I don't know if this will work but I'm going to try it.
