If it's not a PZF then it's the MSV3 that is his only special equipment
this makes no sense.

It does make sense. It's either the pistol or the MSV3, or simply aesthetics.

it does not lol, you can take a PZF and then put it on a mini and then say: "no, it's just to look nice, in the mini profile it will not have the weapon"
probably you don't have in mind the infinity models range, look at magister minis for example.

@Barzam
I'm also hoping that myself

It doesn't look exactly like the Magister ones. If they were going to do a profile with a Pzf they would just add it surely, like they do new Aleph and Tohaa stuff. It's not necessarily a Pzf.

Not necessarily. They kept saying "Acheron Falls" for the Bolt Engineer and Drop Bear profiles, but they were in N3(and we still have no Bolt Engineer to boot).

Human Sphere N3. Absolutely knew it.

Looks like it includes Tohaa as well, so Tohaa players aren't waiting on Acheron Falls for their new stuff to get fluff or be in a book.

EDIT: Ninja'd by a minute.

Damn you Australians who get the same updates as I do through my Infinity Australia Facebook page (unless you are the one that posted it...)

While I am a book owner and I am disappointed that the official word was that there was not going to be one of these. I was just expecting a PDF update.

Well, time to throw all my Infinity toys in the bin...hang on, no I don't think I will go that far. That doesn't seem like a reasonable thing to do at all.

I don't think they'd do a teaser like that for a PDF.

Rolling the Paradiso and Human Sphere PDF's together on the website, and including Tohaa in the teaser, makes me think this might roll Paradiso and Human Sphere together for a book re-issue.

I'd be totally fine with that.

But I'm fine with just HS getting a do over anyway.

edit - also includes Steel Phalanx. Signs are pointing to a combined HS/Paradiso book, though I wouldn't be surprised if it lacked the campaign.

No, you should definitely do it! Haven't you been paying attention? It's your duty to throw your toys out of the pram.

The website uses the word "book", so I'm going to assume that it's going to involve dead trees somewhere. Just let me know when pre-orders are, CB.

Given the awkwardness that surrounded N3's release if you wanted to use anything that was not present in the book itself, I would wait for whatever PDFs they have to release alongside of it before preordering.

If this book includes Tohaa... this book will include Paradiso Rules.

This book MUST include "Haris" for the Odalisques and "Enomotarchos" for the Steel Pahalanx & "Tohaa link" for the Tohaa... this book will include Paradiso rules. Mark my words.

I'm fine with this. Having the whole ruleset updated to N3 before builidng up "Acheron falls" over the hybrid N2/N3 version that we have now.

And EVO repeaters! God! now with the new Hacker rules the potential for something incredible is there....

So all that stuff about them not wanting to invalidate book purchases by including supplement rules in the N3 core trio rule book set and it turns out the real motivation was that they simply wanted to sell everyone the same supplement again. It's too bad so many folks parotted the "official party line" that Infinity can do no wrong when the real motivation for not including important rules like sectorials and link teams was simply to (re)sell the campaign supplements instead of starting fresh and on even ground for everyone. And, yes, I know the boiler plate response that "the rules are online for free" but I prefer having a physical copy of game rules.

It was to be expected.
Totally fine for me.
I actually welcome it.
Conform up to date rules supplement for free.
Nice shiny new book for those who really want it.

What cracks me up is the fact that the people who complain about a new release seem to be pretty much the same group of unhappy customers who made CB sway from the "FAQ, no new book" aproach by constantly nagging about not having an up to date book.

So what changed in the 6 months since you posted:

 Baiyuan wrote:
Wanted to chime in to mention that I'm convinced that Paradiso will be referred to in the N3-book. The N2-book also mentioned it as it is an important historical event in the time line of the human sphere. That being said, CB will not make the Campaign Paradiso-book obsolete by including more than a reference to the already published book's contents.
They have been so careful to communicate to their business partners that the other books will stay entirely valid purchases, they are not going to jeopardise that now.
Expect the core fluff plus a few words on the wider scope of events. The rest will be left to the existing other two books and the upcoming AF.

Is it ok for them now to "jeopardise" their business partners by making the campaign books like Human Sphere and soon Paradiso not valid purchases? Nothing has changed except for the revised party line that you're towing. It was NEVER about protecting customer investments into books (like Carlos claimed in various videos) or business partners' purchases like you posted but rather because they simply wanted to (re)sell the same book with some tweaks to folks. There is nothing illegal about that purely business decision and plenty of companies do that. The book had a 5 year life cycle (unlike GW's new MSU *minimum sellable unit* 1-2 year lifecycle) which I think is very reasonable. What I don't like is that they bascially lied about WHY they weren't including important and commonly used rules in the core books, not that they're doing it. It had nothing to do with respecting player or store purchases but rather with reselling the books to customers. I fully (don't) expect all the folks that repeated the company line about why they didn't include those rules to shut up "whiners" to apologize now that it is proven completely false. Corvus Belli is simply a company just like all the others in the industry with the same overriding motivation. It really would have been nice to have those rules in the core books but that ship has sailed. I expect in another few months after acheron they'll announce the upgraded n3 Paradiso book as well.

That's more or less my opinion. I'm happy with N3, I love the game, but CB is either intentionally lying or incapable of planning.
They have lost the benefit of the doubt, so I'm never going to pre-order anything from them from now on.
In fact, with all the problems caused by the transition to N3, I'm probably not going to buy any book before it has been out for about one year. That's apparently the only way to know what I'm getting, since CB cannot be trusted.

I have to admit to feeling a little sore, having bought both Paradiso and Human Sphere in January on the basis that they were going to be supported. I'd far rather have had everything in one N3 book.

You, since it's by CB and they can do no wrong.

Or they could have said "We did not include the rules from Human Sphere and Campaign: Paradisio, since we plan to reedit them too. We will prepare a FAQ to make them usable with N3 until the new edition is out."

It's not as big of a book as you or anyone else made it out to be.

You would be looking at around 359 to 361 pages, all told, if you were to just rip out what was in Human Sphere and Paradiso's "Rules" and Unit Profile sections. Some of that would be unnecessary(you don't need the Sectorial AVA tables twice nor the Weapon Tables twice) but it's really not THAT big for a rulebook.

Big for a softback rulebook (whose dumb decision was that?) yeah, but that's what happens when you insist on putting Unit Profiles into the same book as your rules. Unit Profiles could have been their own book.

I wish people would stop instantly defending every action CB makes no matter what they do. Even worse to blame any bad decision CB has made on the people complaining about something CB has done instead of admitting that they are not perfect selfless benevolent angels.

| had no problem paying for a shiny new book in N3. I did have problem that it didn't contain everything you needed to play with the current rules. If the old books were perfectly compatable with the N3 that wouldn't have been a problem.

People were sold the line that N3 didn't contain the rules for link teams and sectorials to not invaldiate old books but this announcement shows that either that was stand dishonest PR bs or that CB are incompetent and didn't realize that the old supplement books would not be fully compatible with N3 and couldn't see far enough ahead to realize they would have to change things.

I don't hate CB, I don't want to stop playing or collecting infinity or anything like that (And find it odd that people pull out that nonsense when anyone ever criticizes a decision by CB) but I do very much dislike this same decision as I disliked the choice not to put link team and sectorial rules in the actual rule book and I will not be buying this book from them. If they had released Acheron Falls and included in that new updated version of the rules contained within HS and CP then I almost certainly would have bought it but I don't want to have to spend £100+ on rulebooks to get a physical version of the full rules that were valuable at the time N3 were written and in my opinion should have been contained in N3.

Also anyone who bought CP or HS since N3 just got royally screwed.

Yes as others have said at the very least they should have just said we plan to rewrite the new n3 versions of the expansions. At least then people could have made fully informed purchases.

They said they were planning on rewriting the other books in N3 style.

They just didn't say in a "near future", they only said "future", and some people (including me, because I hadn't speaked with a certain tester at the time) assumed it was a relatively far future and bought HS/Paradiso.

Fail.

Nah... they are a Company and they want to sell books, copys of their existing books.

This "Human Sphere N3" thing is probably for Christmas, they are communicating it now, but they probabaly knew this move years ago.
As a company, they cannot nulify existing products inmediatly and just wait for the proper moment for announcing it.

Anyway, just one week after releasing N3 they did upload the PDF file... and people complain about their unforgivable delay for releasing all the troop profiles of the expansion, wich happened 3 weeks after that.
Then, everybody demanding the free INFINITY ARMY 5 for list building, and we are still waiting for the Wiki.

CB makes money with the miniatures, because probably their FREE PDF policy is making 0 pounds for them. The firts comment on facebook right below the video is: -"Will this be available for FREE?".
They are not making a single penny with this.

GW is laughing their ass now looking at this... well, if they are even aware of the existence of INFINITY.

Like I repeated from the start of N3, CB NEVER SAID NO REWRITE of HS or C: P for that matter. People should really stop beliving everything on the internet. It was even asked what we would like more (at a con of course) HS or AF. They picked the HS instead, I would of bet on AF myself. That was the same time the writer said he like to redo the HS fluff, guess he got his way first. All that said I got my money saved, it is a smarter move then a new starter box a year after the first, and did I see "new hacking device" popup in the vid.

I'm glad HS is getting a revision. I skipped the 2nd edition rule book so It's the oldest CB book I've got and it clearly could use a new translation. Part of the success of Infinity after Paradiso was that C was such a well written addition. HS deserves the same update that N3 brought to the rules.

Seriously folks give it a rest with the hate on CB. This is a nerd hobby. You end up collecting tons of books you will only use for a few years.
If you play D&D of any of its Pathfinder derivatives it's a fact of life. In fact any RPG game will leave your home filled with a thousand books from different editions weighing more than a thousand suns.
Every refugee from the GW universe could say the same for stacks and stacks of rules books, codices, campaign books, and army books.

This is the price we pay for the explosion of interest, particularly in the States. The game will have better art, more fluff, and tighter rules because of it.

The problem is not the new book.

The problem is that until now, CB was claiming that they decided to lower the N3 Rulebook's quality, by excluding the Human Sphere and Paradiso rules, specifically to avoid invalidating Human Sphere and Campaign Paradiso. They were telling us
We sold you a worst product so that you don't have to re-buy those two books!!
Now, it turns out to have been
We sold you a worst product because we want you to re-buy those two books. Also, we still have some in stock, so if you did not buy them already, do so. You won't have to re-buy them, that's why we did not include the rules in N3.

It's one thing to update a book, it's another to deny planning to do so to sell more of the old edition.
