I was thinking of modeling my space marine army after these guys.
http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Space_Sharks
I was curious to see if they had any special rules, especially after I saw a Forge World model from that chapter.
Does anyone have the Imperial Armour book that mentions them? (I believe it's Volume X.)

No special rules for them in the IA:10 book except for the mention of the special character and some background lore (which I think isn't really worth it).
Basically it just emphasises the fact that they are a "mysterious chapter from beyond the astronomicon" and that they really dislike aliens. Even their notable battles section is written in a way that "it's all speculative".

@snarky: for those of us who don't have the IA:10 book, can you post what it says? I'd really enjoy knowing myself...

Not sure if I'm allowed to post it word for word (plus it's several pages long in ~A3 size). Anyhoo, the general idea of the Space Sharks is that they were a chapter designed to fight xenos from beyond the reaches of the astronomicon, they would be an independent space borne chapter that would fight without the support of the imperium outside of it's borders.
It then goes on to talk about ork kill kroozas mysteriously empty (with the orks inside being brutally slaughtered) being found drifting around the edges of the imperium's space, it suggests that this was the Space Sharks handiwork. The space sharks then proceed to arrive in full chapter strength (it also talks about how the inquisition ponder on how the Space Sharks replace their losses especially when operating outside the light of the astronomicon [possible hints to human settlements outside the imperial sectors?].
This was quite surprising as they arrived completely unannounced and the loyalists were unsure if they were on huron's side or if they were reinforcements, but they submitted gene seed and allowed their chapter to be prodded by the inquisitors to see if they were pure, and turned out they were fine (no mutations or anything weird like that). So they decided to fight against huron and the fluff sort of ends there. (there are other details but I can't really remember off the top of my head)
The rest of the chapter lore is exactly what I mentioned before, they are a chapter that nobody really knows about (which is lazy writing in my opinion).

Go for it. I know come June time I'll be doing one, it'd be good to compare notes with someone.

To be true to their style I'd need a bunch of the MkV models from forge world.

If you are portraying the Carcharodons after the Badab War, then they have looted the supplies and gear storage facilities hidden away by the Mantis Warriors. Since the Maelstrom Warders were very well supplied and up to date the Carcharodons have a lot more up to date wargear than they did at the begining of the campaign. But yes, mixing in some of the neat looking older gear and armor with the new is very them.

That's kind of my plan. I have a marine army that is in serious need of a paint job, and this just may be the one I pick.
If I do decide to do it I'll definitely start a new thread for the project.

They're also led by Tiberos, who's a slightly-terrifying beast. He also has a strange thing that lets you take a squad of 10 Lightning Claw assault terminators as troops, which is both bizarre and (with the special rules they get) sometimes terrifyingly effective, as shown by a friend of mine.
