Ok so since 6th ed I've had a LOT of WoC stuff around. Original idea was a collection of nice looking miniatures that I take stuff from to game with. Was going to be mono Tzeentch to start then expand and include some of the stuff available in chaos armies back them, the beasts and daemons.
Never quite got round to it though picked stuff up now and then for it, did odds and sods to get me back into painting. Even sat down and modelled a load of chosen from the old warriors (since been ripped apart with a plan to make marauders interesting )
With 8th released I got round to sitting down properlyish and trying to get back into painting after the craziness of last year and using some stuff painted ages back too, hopefuly doing this little blog will give me the motivation to get on with it.
So still sticking with its going to be a collection of minitures and game with it idea, but initialy working towards a rough army list to get gaming regularly again. So starting off the paint jobs will either be from ages back, or a little rushed but decent tabletop quality then as I get gaming go back do the models up a little more and expand.
Pics to follow later this evening, I apologise now for crap quality for the first few, only camera I have of my own is on my phone but a verrrrrrrrrry cute girlfriend has offered to help me out with her camera collection for my use when I'm over at hers so better quality pics shouldn't be too long in the pipeline

Ok here we go first lot of pics. Some WiP marauders.
First one done to I'd stick it on a table
Look he has friends!
First 10 done to a rough standard
First 20 out of 30 sorted to can be oput ona table and look like an attempt was made at em...
And after those 20 started some GW marauders
Going with the idea of get em ready to at least to get playing fantasy it's a little annoying that I can't do the whole sit with one model for a day or two, but if I did that well, see you in 10th . Not happy with the flesh pn most of them but for speed purposes wasn't wanting to have to sit and do 9 or so layers blending it in so tried a few different wash/drybrush combinations I can smooth out later. Overall the different tones which will be mixed throuh the unit on a table unlike ion the pics will give them some variety.
The GW marauders I need to get some warrior heads for as I'm not doing a mad convert to look good huge project but want to at least try to have them ok looking. Don't have many spare just now I forsee trying to get hold of some which might end up costing a stupid amount from bits places which I want to avoid as I'm on a VERY tight budget nowadays.
The GW ones have been sitting idle for a bit over a week until next week as I have my kids till then, getting them painting miniatures too my eldest did his first when he was just 2 hehe. Hopefuly an update on them soon, now just need to find the pics of the warrior units from a while ago.
Automatically Appended Next Post:
And the warriors after discover the kids had knackered my USB slots when I finally got my usb drive dug out *sigh*
Tzeentch warriors done many many years ago (first unit for the army long break from painting at the time)
And some closer shots (sorry about blurryness here)
Halberd warriors. I wanted this unit to be able to represent Tzeentch or Slaanesh warriors hence the slightly odd paint scheme. Did it from the hero model I did but changed slightly for a slight touch of slaaneshishness
Not happy with them, but again tabletop standard and move on, would really like to sort the gold armour out though when I have a day as it didn't turn out as nice as on the hero model.
And the halberd hero model from warhammer quest who I might strip soonish and redo slightly:
The hero I did in gold armour to represent the armour of damnation at the time. Source of this was a Michael Moorcock book where the eternal champion is duelling the undying fallen eternal champion, think it was one of the Corum books. Not 100% sure off the top of my head. But the fallen champion now served the chaos gods, changed constantly in his armour which made him hard to hit and couldn't die for all intents and purposes. (anyone else remember a certain chaos special character from 5th ed and before with that kind of ring to it? ). Would like to experiment one day and work out how to get the effect of shifting going on over gold when I do an armour of damnation equipped hero again.
Basing I have been debating about and still toying with some ideas, but will do the entire army at once, concentrating on they could be used in a game with for now as I tend to paint models either unassembled or semi assembled. Current ideas are grey wasteland, gravel and rocks, occasional skull, discarded weapon, another is GS detail onto them in combination to this with glowing runes etc set in stone similar to some resin bases out there.

Agreed, got 70 in my initial line up - 30 HW/shields which are almost done, just 10 to go when I have time and 40 GW marauders. Looking for 30 warriors heads and around 20 hammer/mace heads from the warriors sprue to finish them.
Will try to get pics of the stuff thus far since the initial post at the end of the weekend as have my kids this week .
On that note might post pics of any goblins or lizardmen my sons paint up too

Finally getting round to a small, albeit incomplete update. Still waiting on some stuff arriving to finish some bits off and making the time to actually work on them as shiny things distract me...
First image from about may, hammered through what I could of the GW marauders fast with basic paint jobs. Am still waiting on gatting my mitts on some warrior heads and hammer/mace weapons from the same kit to finish em but heres what was done back then..
And a closer shot of the GW regiment, sorry its ended up a bit blurry
Next up wanted to do a very basic lava scheme on my warriors of Khorne. So, no blending done, and with the photo whowing every imperfection I think I'll go for quality over speed
And finally the actual stuff I'm working on, heres the pic of the test horse for the marauder horsemen. Should have 10 finiahed by the end of the weekend of mid next week depending on time.
Hopefuly get some decent shots of the horsemen up with a slightly less gap time between posts

Well had a bit of time and got the horsemen done and dusted, and even got round to some pics. Only taken on the phones camera so not amazing.
First up a slightly too much flash group pic. A horsemans head seems to have disappeared so when I'm at my flat instead of my girlfriends going to get another done up and they're at "well, I can put em on a table and play" stage.
Next slightly better shots of some of them...
And side on for the blood god!
And musicians from each of the regiments...
Also I got bored. I have had Crom the conqueror sitting undercoated since storm of chaos and decided well, he would make a decent mess around model and I actually felt the urge to paint it up. Seeing as everyone and their spawn are doing NMM at the moment I went with MM's . Plus it's quicker and I kind of need this stuff done to play so no brainer there.
The start of the goldish armour... This pic was what nudged me into doing a bit of source lighting on the model and have the highlights more offset. The reflection from the window on just the basecoat and first layer of the gold here looked pretty awesome so started running with it.
With the golden areas quickly highlighted up (and some tissue paper nabbed for the purposes of the pic) another WiP shot taken that was sent to a friend for their opinion.
How it is currently sitting for now. The browns done and highlighted up with the light source observed and the cloak started. Bone areas done too on the necklace and made a start on the shield. Really wish this pic had turned out better as a lot of detail is lost here :(
Automatically Appended Next Post: Along with the characters to finish up I also need to start making a couple of warshrines, have 4 chariots, again from many years back, sitting unopened so was going to use 2 to make a couple with to save a few quid, and ideas for them are welcome as the only ideas I have had thus far involve the screaming bell kit and corpse cart kit!

Had another couple of hours with Crom and he's almost done now. Just a flame fade effect to do on his sword and he's good enough to game with.
And slightly closer...
While getting on with him got bored and started another character while wondering if any kits have bits I am after for making the warshrines.
Quite happy with how the yellow has highlighted up the red's next on the sorcerer. Lots of stuff ticked off the to do list between the WoC and eldar I've been painting through and pretty pleased with the progress especially time spent to end effect ratio

Ok with christmas out the way I finally had a bit of cash to get some more warriors to complete a regiment. Deciding to go with Khorne and halberds sat and tested a lava on black design for the armour to get away from the red, despite lava being overdone. Doing something more along the lines of the reavers from the chaos marine codex than the fine detailed design in the WoC book hoping it would be quicker and more forgiving given I'm not that great a painter.
The idea behind the regiment was their armour still retained the fury and heat of the forges where each suit had been crafted, and the lava still flowed through it, occasionally forming chaos runes, symbols and those of khorne .
So, how I tested if the design would look good...
Thought great! Looks like what it says on the tin! Underestimated just how small an area even the thigh plates are compared to my nail and was having to use more than slightly knackered cotman brushes while waiting on some new brushes arriving for detail work :(. But never the less I perservered...
The reds and through to a dark orange was done, with the odd symbol or symbol forming/ dissapearing on the armour. I did underestimate how I would feel having to do a regiment with several armour plates with this design rather than a single fingernail. So the next step was get some yellow on the design...
And eventually...
Hoping that the final layer with some white added will bring the design out a lot better, and thankfully new army painter brushes arrived today too. Still have the lava to do on helmets and shields, but that will be done last as the metallics, bones, highlights on cloth areas are next. Still debating attempting to just get enough knight lances which I'm not too keen on using for halberds as some look more spearlike or just ordering the halberd packs.
Things I have learned from this is I tend to rush when getting bored, so I know that I'm not only going to be not completely satisfied with the regiment, but I know I can do better. Might eventually do another just to do just that, you can never have too many halberd wielding frenzied maniacs.
Have another 18 I was planning a lightning effect on and 20 marauders to convert up with great weapons as well as 3 more sorcerer models and BSB on the to do list as well. Warshrine bits hunting has thus far proved lacking on ebay with many of the parts I'm after being sold out on bits sites. Might get bored and sit and see about trying the lightning effect on a nail again and see if I think I can face doing it over 18 warriors first

Still slogging away with the warriors when I have the time and feel motivated to paint. Almost done with the bodies, a few details and little bits of highlighting to go before I'll be moving onto the shields and getting the lava scheme onto the helmet. So without further ado a couple more WiP pics so people can see how they're coming along.
Hoping by Monday that the bodies and shields will be done, then it's wait to afford the halberds. Still planning on doing the bases of the army all at once, just trying to work out economical ways to do it Any comments or ideas?

Got round to having enough time to get the warriors to where I'm happy to leave them until I can afford to order some halberds and banners of rage from GW. Gimmicky though the banners may be, I do like a couple of them enough that I'll use them .
So without further ado, pics, which lets face it makes these posts interesting:
And a slightly closer look, had to convert up a couple of halberds for the left hands, which I'm tempted to do for the opposite hands on the other warriors:
And the champion:
Have to confess I have learned a lot from doing these. The most important lesson is probably that no matter what I do, I'll still be thinking I could have done that bit better for the time I took. Also That thinking doing the lava on 18 a time would be better so there was less messing around mixing etc was probably not the best way. bulk painting night goblins like that is doable, but with these I think I would have been more motivated more often doing them in batches of 6. The smaller the groups, the less time each session would have been needed and possibly could have sqeezed a lot more in overall.
Oh and possibly most gutting, the shields covering details I spent time on "just in case" I decided to take the shields off and go two hand weapons .
The lava took a few layers to get it to the "good enough" effect thats in the pictures:
Base layer over a black undercoat of a dark red, red gore or scab red from GW for example.
Straight layer of blood red over the darker red
Mix of blood red and fiery orange next
Mix of bad moon yellow with a little fiery orange
Bad moon yellow with white as the current top layer.
If I get the motivation will be putting some white over the final layer for a final highlight when I do the 4 bare heads which are left. Still undecided on what tones to do them in, if I should stick to normal flesh tones so not to distract from the armour or make them a bit more exotic. Next job is to further reiforce the khorne marauders regiment, which requires mould line cleaning and painting a chariot up to add bits to in order to use it as a warshrine for now.

Finally got enough warrior heads to do the Great weapon marauders I didn't put heads on! Coincidently I decided to do the last 20 marauders for the regiment too to bring it up to 60 at full strength. Probably stick with 40 to 50 in it usually but you never know when those 10 will come in handy. Conversions have been pretty simple, the biggest pain was yesterday trying to get the angle of the cut on 50 heads just right, or at least right enough so they don't look stupid. These are group shots at the moment, some closer ones when they're done barring a banner of Rage which is now suddenly jumped higher on the "to buy" list for these guys and the Khorne warriors.
Also started the stand in warshrines by building, spraying and drybrush highlighting 2 chariots. They won't look amazing but am aiming to be able to swap them between warshrine and chariots when I want to, so the crew are just displaced by at first a banner given my lack of bits. The knights will be the next thing to tackle once I sort out how I'm going to do the bone so looking out spare 5th ed warrior arms to experiment on.
First shot is the flesh done (washed and drybrushed) and the black highlighted with selected drybrushing on the 20 I'm doing fully. Yep all those heads in the foreground were for the regiment.
And with their heads on...
And the first 40, 30 who now have heads and shouldn't take long at all to finish off...
Got a lot to do today so don't see them getting finished till Monday when I can sit down and have the time properly which is slightly disapointing but they're fast to do when you get going. As they're ran with no armour just now it's been even easier to paint them fast, takes an evening to do 10 roughly, the longest part is waiting on washes drying. Here's hoping GW doesn't change them or the foundation paints come the redo on the range or thats their paints once more a no buy for me.

Didn't get a chance to update the work done I did yesterday (and a little over the weekend) thought I'd do a quick update this morning with it . Getting there to finishing the horde of GW Khorne marauders off and hoping to have them to where I want them today.
Got a lot of the basecoats done by the end of yesterday, managed to find a small amount of time to do a couple of coats of scab red on each of them over the weekend. By lunchtime yesterday they were starting to look like they had paint on them and you could see what would be what.
And a couple of close up mug shots, despite them only having a base coat and no washes yet...
For once the camera was kind to my painting there now I see them on the screen, a few bits to tidy, but they'll be done before the final washes and little highlights go on. By yesterday afternoon when I was headed out (and therefore finished with painting for the day) they had cloth and horns done too.
Looking forward to finishing them off and doing headway with the stand in warshrines. Given I'm planning something which will take a while on the knights going to keep these simple, like the marauders albeit a lot less time consuming. Hoping to get an update in thios evening depends what my girlfriend and I do when I meet her from work.
On a couple of side notes, and I'm hoping people chip in some opinions here, I was considering doing a gaming on a tight budget article as I've done really well thus far. Helping my kids start off into wargaming with the painting side and both getting some models of a fantasy army they want to do. Being 7 and 5 last summer they did well and went for the armies they liked the look of, and surprised me with how well they painted, better than I did at 11!. Also I started a small O&G collection of my own and surprisingly when totalling the amount spent over the three it was very low. With many people facing a tough time in the economic climate, or being poor students, schoolkids etc would people appreciate this guide? It would not just contain where to buy models but also brushes, best way to get the most from certain things, etc.
Oh and curse me, but also got some dwarves in a BFSP set I wanted the goblins from and went and got a second BFSP dwarf set... They have tempted me for years and might stave off my inclination to do undead once again since they got split into VC and TK. They are queued behind O&G though. Planning on getting 2 current batallions by saving a hell of a lot to round out the basis of the army. Have a rough idea it still needs refining as I have done with the O&G. I shall however be finishing my WoC army painting off first, and returning now and them to add to the collection, I think WoC will be what the Eldar are to me, a range I want to collect as they look great.

Turns out Yesterday afternoon and evening was very busy like I thought, but got the marauders finished before I headed out like I wanted to. Took some snapshots this morning and am happy just to get hold of a banner of rage and base them up when the other few bits for the army are done. First some group shots of the full horde...
And a couple randomly grabbed for the close ups...
Also threw together the stand in warshrines, not the most original Idea, but they should get me through until I get the right parts I'm after for doing up a couple properly. They've had a couple of heavy drybrushes of grey over the black undercoat for highlights, and going to just add the metal areas and details in similar to the photo on the box/ GW site.
And toyed around with a couple of colour schemes for slaanesh Warriors which will have metallic purple armour. The first is the purple with a black trim, which will be highlighted with a dark grey or black/silver mix
Next the black trim is highlighted with purple (looks a bit better than the pic in person, but possibly blends in way too much still)
And finally a Gold trim and a slightly darker purple (just a couple more washes over the silver basecoat)
 .
What do people think of the test schemes?

Seems there really is no rest for the wicked just now! As I said at the very beginning of this I have had stuff around for this army for a good number of years. Some of oldest stuff I bought, maybe 9 or 10 years it has been kicking around. During that time I got some bargains, and ofcourse bought them to some kind of plan. With the 6th edition hordes of chaos I wanted a pure Tzeentch army, with a lot of casters, which would require a lot of power dice and the cheapest way to add some points wise, was chariots. So I remember getting some for between £8 and £10 roughly and ended up with 4. As I am on a tight budget instead of buying extra stuff for making two very cool converted warshrines, I'm planning on waiting on the rumoured chariot/warshrine kit and see what bits they yield for converting a couple later in the year. Until then, there are the chariots and some banners, as well as blu- tac! Heres how they'll look roughly, with a couple of basecoats on them. I know that it's not exactly original, nor is the paint scheme, but neutral chaos and able to change them to chariots again upon getting the right bits later this year was the aim. Plus, I really want to have a crack at the knights and converting up the BSB which will be my first foray with green stuff.
Even with just these chariots as a base to make the shrines up I have had to resist the urge to act on my inpirations and convert them up. Again it's something I can look at in the future, when more of the army is painted up and no longer sitting taunting me.
For a change was also toying with yet again repainting Eldar, which I'm pondering a seperate blog for, or keep people updated on my hopefully improving again painting skills here

Not had a great deal of time to paint and get more stuff done the past few days with some RL stuff happening but sat down yesterday and did the last few bits on the stand in warshrines till the new model is released to see what nice bits it will yield for converting some up. I still want to do two of the ideas I have for shrines, floating coven and summoning portal, but if the shrines become a lot less useful for buffing the army then I will skip doing the latter. A screaming bell kit, daemon prince kit, changleling and assorted other bits will be a fair amount to get hold of for me and only going to do it if I can continue my idea of buff my army, hex the hell out the opponents .
These will when two new ones are done become chariots once again. From the scheme I can probably change them to Slaanesh, Khorne or Tzeentch easily, but they're metal so easy enough to strip quickly anyway, and fast enough to paint to a basic tabletop standard if I can suddenly field all 4 I have . Overall while I'm not excited about either my colour scheme or originality on these, I'm happy at how quickly they were done, I think both were done in an afternoons worth of time over a couple of days.
Next up will be characters and knights. As the knights will be done individually I may end up doing characters in between them just for sanity and varieties sake!

Well, had some stuff happen RL and got behind on both updating this and also the progress. Lack of motivation and thinking upon life, the universe and everything as a result. Breaking out of the habit decided to tackle the knights next. Plan here is to do the 5 of them together as far as possible then concentrate on one at a time.
They're ending up with whiter bone armour, shaded black/devlan mud hopefully along the lines of what the skulls are on the regiments box photo. On the armour glowing runes, and runes along the swords. The flesh on the horses I wanted to be black with reddened highlights, ended up a little purple though as I built up the black/scab red highlights.
Haven't got a lot done thus far but here's how they are looking so far.
Also no longer have to use the camera on my phone so may upload better pictures of previous stuff if people are interested.

Well being skint has really highlighted of late just how badly it can affect wargaming. Even if you have the models and you got the paint when brushes go bad, you hit a brick wall.
I used to use the Army Painter brushes. Indeed for under £3 a brush they were great, and my first regiment brush lasted me about 2 years. Was pretty happy with it too, but alas time and wear took it's toll so I decided to get another. This is when I found out the problem which many on the internet had run into did indeed exist...
The brush on the left in the picture is the one which lasted 2 years. Even in it's current state, I'll no doubt find some uses for it before it dies a horrible death. The middle brush is the one I got to replace it, or at least how it ended up after a couple of days of painting the marauders. Bristles started bending at all angles, faling out, it was as if the problem I had with the insane detail brush had struck again. So thinking I had found a bad bunch, emailed army painter and they sent replacements for the regiment brush and the couple of others which had buggered up.
The one on the right arrived in time to finish the marauders off and lasted a week or so, enough to start the knights I've been working on. Same problem happened, but had been looking into Rosemary and Co brushes anyway. Since the dry brushes had been fine from Army painter was just a small set of 00, 0, 1 and 2 I was after in kolinsky sable. I do prefer the triangular handles which Army Painter use so emailed off to Rosemary and Co asking if they could do the kolinsky sable range in them, offering to pay extra if needed. With the price of their brushes it wasn't going to break the bank after all.
Happily they replied they were doing a range with thise handles come April, so I waited. And waited. Emailed them again, got informed that they had some technical problems, not being able to print onto the handles, but would make them up for me if I was happy to have them that way. Since I had tried and given up going back to my synthetic brushes (sable spoiled me! ) I jumped at the chance.
A couple of days later, while waiting by the letterbox, tongue out and panting like a dog in anticipation, they arrived!
Lovely to hold, the handles are plastic and even after sitting for about 7 hours the other day constantly using them didn't irrtate my hands from holding them in the same pose for so long. The bristles had the usual couple lost as every brush will (thats normal don't worry) but didn't lose an excessive amount. Maybe 3 from all the brushes I noticed! And the points have been kept perfectly.
Ext update will involve models when my mind is feeling a little less numb and drowsy from these painkillers Automatically Appended Next Post: Meant to do this a while ago, and while I'm unable to sleep from the pain, decided to get it up, got another to follow depending how I feel . The armour got underway on the knights. Now I thought to tackle these seperate, doing horse and rider as different pieces. In hindsight I should have done them together, it would have saved time mainly through mixing. When it comes to the mixing to highlight up, thats when I procrastinate a lot.
Anyway, the reason you're looking... pics...
There are more images on the gallery it's linked to, don't want to flood the post with 15 to 20 images...
And them slightly more highlighted up!
Also got the riders underway at this point. One I decided to pose on his mount too
This afternoon I also got these to the point of all the white just needing a final highlight up, will try to get that in the next lot of updates. But looking at these photos I also need to work on my camera skills Automatically Appended Next Post: And a quick aside of what I did between bouts of sleepyness from medication, annoyance at brushes dying and just plain pain. Oh and procrastination about the knights, can't forget that. Remember that odd bright gold and purple scheme? The one in the first post I was thinking I could switch between Slaanesh or Tzeentch with? Yeah I wasn't keen on it either really...
Papa Nurgle lured that little band of warriors over
I had already decided the scheme just wasn't working so decided that I'd experiment with some washes, worst case scenario they would end up in dettol. Plus I really need to think up a nice way to do corroded and aged armour for a bunch of the new style warriors and some knights I have earmarked for nurgle. The purple on them also needs to get a going over, though I suspect I'm going to opt to go over it in black and then extreme highlight that with a bright green.
After the knights are done I'll spend a bit more time trying to make these guys look presentable, and also do more experimenting with a meatal Nurgle sorc. Got Vellejo's extra opaque heavy green to use as a starting point on it specially B)

Simply it's because it is my favourite quote and right now I know I wont sleep from pain shooting through my body, I will use both of these reasons to justify giving you people more pictures to C&C. Like a burlesque dancer flashing her stocking at a panting audience, I bring you more pictures of the knights. At least I hope it is like that and not you guys wincing wondering what I did to these models with the paint. Oh dear, that sounded wrong... :ermm:
First up the barding on the horses. got the white on it to "good enough for the table" in my eyes. Could possibly do with 2 or 3 more glazes of white to smooth the highlights and build up the top ones, but I'm in no rush to win a painting competition.
Close up...
And how the knights themselves were this morning (I actually finished the white off to the barding standard today, even the shoulder pads, hooray!!)
Not sure where the camera is to get an updated pic, but the artificial lighting in here sucks too so it'd be awful! But thats me almost up to date. Several batches of highlighting white, which I really should have done at once really. I guess the lava scheme made me wary of undertaking too much at once, even with the wet palette.
Next up I'll be doing the basecoat of the gold/brown mix on the areas which are still white or black and need it, and highlighting that up as well as saddles and cloth, boots etc on the knights.
The runes I will be doing last, still torn between red glowing effect and blue glowing effect despite much thinking on the matter today.
The swords I have been inspired to pinch an idea from Kormak in his various fantasy project thread ( found here) and go for the effect he did on his graveguards axe in either blue or purple. Shields will be the last step.

Been painting away the past month when I have had the chance to, and slogging on with the knights. Was very happy with them until I did the runes. Until then the paintjob was shaping up nicely. My lack of skill, and dexterity, as well as using a brush which didnt like keeping it's point to try it out, has scuppered the look I wanted.
Overall I'm nearing the end though! . Going to leave the runes off the horses armour, keep practicing them and small freehand glowing details, and come back and do them when I can actually do it justice. The knights I'll give a dettol bath to at that point and redo. up until the runes went on I was thinking yep, higher than average paintjob, but I suppose 10/10 for trying has to be the consolation score!! The red goes very well with the whiter armour though, both on the horses and knights. Think I did not too bad on highlighting the gold also when looked at not through a camera lens .
The runes:
Knights horns, also the same colours on the horses.
And the gold, it looks alittle messy in the pic, yet much better in person :(
Have also began my waaagh with getting mould lines off 120 models so far... still so many to go, curse you ebay for cheap joblots!!
Until next month, though the blog on CotEC will probably be updated more often than here as theres little interest in the stuff I'm doing atm it seems :(

You know its a good day and a project is coming together when you start assembling it more. Or at least they way I prefer to paint stuff it is!
And a close up on the trotting into battle with contempt for the mere mortals soon to be washed away in a tide of blood...
Forging ahead with these guys and will be on the lookout for bits to use as trophies on each to give them character over time!

Went off on a tangent and decided to quickly do some 6th ed warriors still knocking around. Hit a snag, ran out of the gold and brown I was mixing up to do them, so waiting till I get more as any other mix I do will dry up stupidly fast, and getting the gold I started with will make layering it up for highlights easier too. So until it gets here a couple of work on progress shots and think I shall scrape some more plastic for the orcs and goblins till it does.
It has actually shocked me how much I used the gold I was as a base colour for a lot of my bronzes etc, really put a stop to me being able to do quite a few things I had planned :(.
