Also, yes, we say crap, but as in "That's a bit crap" to mean a bit rubbish as opposed to "That's a lot of crap" to mean nonsense.

@Graven-So, it is a word? Got it. Crap functions like the unDakkable S-word, so it has all the varied and wonderful dictionary notations as that favorite little word of mine, without the being a nasty swear thing.

@Knightley-What color are those rods?

Pretty much moonpie. In the terribly English manner:
"This is crap" - It is not terribly good.
"I feel crap" - I feel unwell.
"That's a load of crap" - You are mistaken, sir. (whereas "a lot of crap" just wouldn't fly, as it were

, although load is still arguably an egregious Americanism).

@Moonie - You're welcome mate, thanks for the heads up on the crackle paint. I think the word crap has many uses, much like this history of the F word (you can Youtube it as it NSFW) Also rods are blue, with a lighter blue energy beam through it.

@MarsNZ - Coming into contact with a new Dex does have its advantages, I suspect the next game will be much closer

@Graven - Sadly no glow dude, I "may" do glow when I go back around again to pick up more details, but at this stage its table top quality first!

Update: Red edge highlighting started on the HQs

Ah, and THIS is the the Knightley touch I love, but cannot replicate.

Do you find it a burden or a boon to be equipped with gyroscopically balanced bionic arms in place of the shaky meatbags the rest of us are afflicted with?

I imagine you must find it helpful in your career as a vascular surgeon.

Also, sorry for the crap threadjack. That was a crappy thing for me to do...Har Har.

You'd think I would be a surgeon in my off hours, but while I can methodically work through edge highlighting a bunch of times, the mind wants to fiddle with everything (oi, out of the gutter) and any person I'd be operating on might end up with a lung in the wrong place, or the red thing connected to my... wristwatch.

Threadjack away, I'm always down for some random conversations. It allows me to talk more about other things other than 40k!

Update: red highlights done, some bases done, just blue weapons left.

I'm amazed at the speed you seem to be getting through this army, and they look good in their big groups.

And if your mind wanders and you like tinkering and fiddling, perhaps you should get a big box of bits in front of you and see what random conversions you can come up with

Cheers man, mixing painting and modelling! sounds like a dangerous path to heresy in my opinion! nothing worse than getting sprue in your paints!

Update: Blues started, should be able to get these knocked out tomorrow (little man has been pretty sick and I suspect I'm coming down with his stomach bug so might get a shot at knocking out a bit this weekend)
