Eugh, trying to clear out the current batch of models sitting on my desk (and when I say desk that's ignoring the stuff which has to be worked on, but is sitting on the floor beside the desk). At the moment the immediate list of crap to work on is sitting at:

6 x Hazmat Suited Scientists
2 x Bandits
1 x Female Freedom Stalker
1 x Duty Exoskelton
1 x Gaz-69 Hillybilly Armoured Jeep
1 x Village Cottage (plus the furniture)

Luckily I cleared some of the crap which has to be worked on off my desk or that list would be longer...

Yeah more of my S.T.A.L.K.E.R. / Ukrainian War stuff pretty much. At least I finished the UAZ from yesterday. =P

Gragh! Still anxiously awaiting bones 2!

Also, painting up some more deadzone scifi zombies/mutants. Doing a batch of 7 to double my small horde up to the holy number of 13. I'll be happy if I get all of those done... but I've got a few more things on the primed plate to go if I do.

Brought 15 Enforcers on my business trip. I'm building batches of 5 each night. Maybe hopping down to the local game store. Anyone know of Red Fox Comics in Lansing, MI and if they play Deadzone? Last time I was in there was 2 years ago.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Just been trying to make miniature Sally groves (AKA the rusty willow). I'm trying to recreate the landscape of the area of Ireland I come from, so this sort of wet woodland and scrub is pretty important.

Tedious work but I have a small grove done now. I think I should have done more to make the bases look wet though. Ah well.

I'm at that point in my Mantic Battlezones terrain assembly where I'm starting to run out of 'major' parts to make good terrain pieces.

For example, I have a Space Marine razorback box filled with various scenery 'bits' and only a handful of separate full sized panels left.

I think my main leftover parts are streetlamps, small ground connects and half damaged 'roof' tiles.

Yeah seems like its rather hard to parse those all out just right. I'll probably end up with a nasty pile of leftovers myself eventually too.

Nothing like an almost 12 hour work-day to blow up your schedule to smithereens.

Well, I'm really hoping to still advance the painting of the Sarge's arms. Gawds, want to complete this guy so much for that happy and fuzzy feeling inside.

Well, they say neccessity is the mother of invention, so, after gathering a few parts, I came up with an Evac Shelter.

I might cut the clips off the buttress walls but I'm quite pleased. - It really is wargamer lego.

And as a little tease for tomorrow.

The Leftovers Box.

When our apartment fire happened last summer, I was in the middle of working on a flyrant and my imperial knight. Both kits were mixed between the boxes as I was swapping back and forth between the projects in terms of modding/painting. (I wasn't making a 'nid knight, I was modding my flying hive tyrant for wings and both arms, since on the kit the wings take up an arms slot). (Also doing magnet work). They only pulled one of the boxes out of the fire. So I have 3/4 of a flyrant and most of an imperial knight.

Did a detailed inventory of the 'nid bits today..and started work on a swarmlord. Looks like I'll be picking up a swarmlord/hive tyrant main body bit from somewhere, as it seems that is the major piece that is missing.

If you contact GW customer service, they may help you out. GW does a lot of wrong these days, but their CS is second to none. Let them kno what happened, and see if they can help with the missing parts. Toss them the item number for what you still have. It's worth a shot, right?

Hah, that's pretty damn epic. Do you recall how many battlezones you went through to create it? Looks like you used 4 mats, 4x4' table of fairly dense urban terrain, quite nice. I really like the market stalls. Makes me think I should be building towards some greater purpose in terms of structures rather than just one-off buildings. Definitely tells a story, good work

From the kickstarter:

Strike Team Pledge Core Worlds scenery
1 Fortifications Battlezone
1 Landing Pad Battlezone
2 Core Worlds Battlezones
2 Ruined Battlezones
1 Scenery Expansion Bundle

I also bought a Fortified Sector box that was on sale, plus I seemed to amass a huge amount of accessory sprues as well.

All in all, it probably came to about £135

There is not this idea.

Trying to paint eyes, think I'm going to give up on having any part of the eyes be white. Because I don't want any more bug-eyed cartoon guys in my army.

I mean, one or two is ok.

Today, I magnetized the weapons of my second heavy hovering vector such that I can play either an Assimilator or a Modulator.
A Conservator is mandatory as it has shield guard.

The usual stint of working on a few things at once. I tend to do a little bit hear and there on a couple models at a time, which winds up with things incrementally being finished, but forever having a table filled with half done crap. Today it was three more Stalkers to add to the existing lot (two male ones and a woman), along with painting a bit more of the armoured jeep I was working on yesterday. Along with those though I managed to start and finish painting a soft topped Land Rover somehow, though its hillbilly armoured brother didn't see any paint today (I'm procrastinating over whether to leave it as is or add some more bits to it as right now it'll do for wargaming, but it could do with more details). Ah right and I started on a quadbike as well.

So youknow ...stuff.

Along with that lot I made attempts at trying to track down a 1/48th scale Humvee. I could buy a kit for £20, but the pair that I already had cost me £1 each, so I'm not finding that price too thrilling. Beyond of course there always being a good use for a Humvee (I can think of a couple of ideas for converting one up) I'm wanting to turn one into the variant that's being used in Ukraine at the moment (to serve as a vehicle for the Military from the Stalker games. They can't very well drive about in hillbilly armoured jeeps and vans). Ideally I'd love to have a Gaz Tigr (Russian Humvee style vehicle)as well, though unfortunately nobody's made a model of the damn thing yet. Hmn, but that's just a random bit of info. Talking about the while I spent trawling ebay to find a Humvee on the cheap perhaps isn't best suited for this thread. =P

Sorry, but yeah that thing is a beast. The PKM sitting on top of an American Humvee is an interesting look.
