That's a whole lot of hard work, the end result is a amazing though. Great job.

How did you bevel the various plasticard pieces for the leg grieves? Did you use any special tool. If not, any tips on how to do it so cleanly?

tkdarktrooper - I'm hoping to start in August but we'll see.

Deathmachine - Thanks, but you really need to read the thread where I've said over and over NO.

Howard A Treesong - Indeed.

Unskul - Thanks! Actually we're both computer programmers so no real engineering stuff, just trial and error. The only big projects I have planned are a pair of reavers, a few thunderhawks (assuming GW doesn't come out with one), and a few coversions that I showed off in another thread. I'd build ork stuff but I don't really have an ork army, and I'm afraid I'd try to make it look to pretty. Its hard to see orky conversions and go "Oh neat" instead of wanting to fill gaps and straighten rivets.

Dave - Thanks!! I actually use a belt sander to bevel the plasticard. Just hold it at the angle I want and turn it off when it gets there. I know its rather crude and hard to control but you get used to it.

I just joined yesterday and started reading the forum, well until i was tired of reading the same thing over and over, so i just looked at the progress and ending project.

SIMPLY MAGNIFICANT, a modern marvel of the 21st century's craft department of the Emperor's Palace. That made really no sense, who cares tho?
2 questions though

1. Who won that battle btw. mightve not read that post

2. What's ur next project gonna be?

wow i sound like a cheesy newsreporter now

No.

He can not and most importantly: he will not.

I take it you did not read through this entire thread, because this has been discussed many times at length, and now it is to the point where...

...the question is annoying.

Foda, i'm sorry for being so rude in your thread but users who don't the thread and are asking the same (annoying) question that has been asked 1000X times really annoys me. Didn't you even state nothing would be for sale on page 1?

GitD I suggest you purchase the Forge World warhound, find someone who WILL build one for you, or better yet: BUILD YOUR OWN.

drdeath666 - Thanks!

War Pigg - Thanks! I may not have said but I ended up being on the side of evil for that battle. Evil ended up winning by 2 objectives, thanks in no part to the 4 warhounds who only killed 400 points worth of shield drones, and dire avengers (blasted scatters and partials). The only big projects I have planned are a pair of reavers, a few thunderhawks (assuming GW doesn't come out with one), and a few coversions that I showed off in another thread. Other than that i've got the armies in my signature i'm working on as well as 7-8,000 more points of tyranids and ultramarines I need to finish. One of these days I'm going to make a to do list and it will make me cry.

Ghost in the Darkness - Thanks but my previous post on this page (responding to Deathmachine) was in response to that EXACT quesion. You may want to ask someone in the swap shop section of this very forum to build one for you, or follow the links early in the thread to the plans I used.

Lagduf - Thanks! Its quite allright, I admit I get a little irate at the people at my FLGS who bug me about it daily. It is on the first page in response to necros wondering about selling casts/whole titans.

Le Grognard - Thanks!

spacemarinejunkie - Thanks! Its stuff like tians and other amazing warmachines that keep me coming back to 40k. I play warmachine/hordes, and fantasy and none of the have the appeal because you're limited to basically the models they provide. To me if there's no big stompy death machines, there's no lasting commitment.

I seem to recall killing at least one of those Titans with a daringly-placed deep striking Imperial Guard command squad...

Foda could you elaborate on your pressure pot construction? I know where to get the pot (harbor freight tools has them.)

-Air compressor
-Check valve for pressurizing
-Ball valve and regulator for depressurizing

Is it different from that?

Did you, or more importantly, are you casting the Forgeworld Imperial Titan crew? Moderati for instance, because it looks like you have some that resemble the Forgeworld Titan crew. I know a lot of the pieces for your Warhounds are of your own design but some are not.

Foda: Have you written an article about your casting methods? I am pricing components for a vacuum table system, and would be very interested in learning from your mistakes. I have read through your thread, and have learned from it; but honestly this is really long thread and I'm sure here is more that you have learned than is represented just hear. Also, I think it would save you from answering the samequestions over and over. You could even link to it in your signature.

Also, as I believe you have heard before; Nice Work!

I did it! I did it! I read the whole thread and all i can say is wow this is some impressive modeling I had my doubts on the first page when you announced it but those were quickly put to rest when i saw the first pieces and from there it just got better. I was a little concerned when i saw the legs for the first time but the shin armour really pulled it together well. As for that 80,000 point game that looked amazing and I can't wait to see those warhounds painted. Good luck with that and any future projects you do such as those Reavers.

I love your work Foda. I noticed that you tried to cast a clear head so that you could possibly have transparent windows. It looked like it wasn't all that successful with the windows being a bit on the opaque side. Have you tried just cutting some of that Plexiglas to size and gluing in windows? It would look a lot closer to what you are after. If you are really ambitious then you could get some bluish tinged tempered automobile glass which would give it a bullet resistant glass feel.

I read this post 5 time's , can't believe it , sod GW if they get funny about moulding their products , it's guinieus , lol (just don't try selling them init) , i wanna get some moulding kit , just think of the posibility's :-

I could mould chocolate bars , leave them in the fridge and laugh when someone try's to eat them

I could mould the cat , would never need feeding etc...

I could mould the wife , that would shut her up long enough for me to mould like a battle barge and or a complete chaos space hulk complete with traitor legion , then I could take over the world ha ha ha ha haa....... do you here the voice's too ?

DeepStrike - Yeah, you and your blasted melta guns Although fighting along side you during the last game was a blast.

Wildcat Carl - Thanks!

Shadow Nugz - Thanks! I played the 80,000pt mega game a few months ago, and another one a few weeks ago that was 45,000pts. I left my camera at home for the last game but luckily one of the gamers was nice enough to snap a bunch of photos http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f225/gunsniper24x/8-9%20Lucky%2013/?start=all

Brian P - Thats it, and works great.

RedSarge - I made a cast of the standing crew and combined them with a sentinel crew.

JD21290 - Thanks! 3 Trygons and a heirophant?! Wow.

Reecius - Thanks!

grizgrin - Thanks! This thread contains most of what I've learned on resining. The easiest way to lern is to read as many different things as you can.

Hammerziet - Thanks! I'll be lucky if these guys see paint by the end of the year with school about to start up again.

ChaosDave - The clear resin didn't work as well because of the way the filler pieces had to be shaped to get the head out of the mold. I will be putting piecees of clear plastic inside the head later. I really like the idea of tinted glass look.

frogboy - Thanks!

Hey there Foda. I just ordered a vacuum pump from Harbour Freight, and some resin and RTV from John Greer. I've got a cake cover from bed bath and beyond b/c big lots was out (10.00). Now I'm looking at tubing. Where did you obtain tubing for the vacuum, and fittings to hook it all up? Are you using parflex, or something else?
