Looks like an artificer tigris pattern bolt pistol to me. Interesting if it turns out to be AoS, but I don't see any clues that point in that direction. If not a chaos marine, then maybe another inquisitor?

I think it's safe to say that this is a 40K bit.

I wonder if this is a Forge World release? This is something from the Horus Heresy is my guess.

For all the talk of GW getting better because they use social media now, a lot of the hints seem to be deliberate trolls. There's no possible way to guess what these are.

Nah, it's plastic, so it's not Forge World.

It's a plastic moriats pistol from the next Horus Heresy boxed set. It will come with a bolt pistol and plasma pistol, and just happen to wear a robe. There will even be an optional sword you can add to his back.

:p

Nah, impossible. Cypher would imply that DA get some kind of supplement.
That cannot happen!

Which is what makes it fun.

What do you want, their full release schedule? Honestly, I'd find that boring.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say I think that may be some sort of combi-bolt pistol.

Aren't bolt pistol holsters usually squared off?

The shape of that holster suggests that rather than a bolt pistol muzzle the shape of the gun at the end is curved, like a plasma pistol.

I think there is a shot selecter to toggle between the two.

This is wild speculation and probably wrong, but plasma weaponry is normally associated with Dark Angels so I reckon it may well be Cypher but they have merged his weapons into combi pistols?

Even if it's just a staright bolt pistol and not a combi if you look at the direction the holster straps are in it has to be from a model in a pretty dynamic, running forward pose, which would also suggest Cypher.

I think it belongs on something like a bike, the shape of the holster and the way the straps are flowing makes me think it should be attached to something with the gun barrel pointing down.

If he had a running pose with the plasma pistol drawn and the other hand reaching for the bolt pistol, that would make for a great Cypher. Like showing him rapidly reacting to a fight.

Though if it really hard to load a belt feed revolver in a fire fight.

Yeah, that belt fed system you see on chaos weapons don't make sense to me. How do you reload it? Is that what its supposed to look like without the magazine, because that's not how they are filled.

Try not to think about the size of bolter shells relative to the size of the magazines, you'll come to the conclusion that you get two, maybe three shots per reload, and those guys are lucky if they go into battle with one spare clip on their little fanny pack.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

I'm probably wrong, but Im fairly convinced it's a chaos character's bolt pistol.... and I don't rightly remember the name, but wasn't there a special chaos biker character from long ago?

Ok yeah, that's stupid. I'll stick with Cypher or a new character.

Like a true Tomb King, change (to AoS) has left me bitter and vengeful.

Thing is, the gun is holstered. So this would mean he is not using the gun and his hand is free for something else in his right hand. So if this bit is used it will not be for like the two beautiful pics you have shown.

Oh yeah, that too. Unless imperial magazines are really bags of holding, they should only be getting like 4-6 shots off.
Anyway, maybe the pistol is combi-revolver? Perhaps the top revolver part uses high caliber / explosive rounds for armored / large targets, whilst the lower, belt-fed part is automatic and is used for lightly armored / numerous targets?
The ejection port does appear to be under the revolver cylinder, though the gun does seem a bit small to have 2 barrels.

Some one asked if any loyalists use chain feed bolt guns. YES TDA Chaplain and some LotD are modeled with belt feed ammo hoppers. The question I have is why a hammer and not a charging handle?

Not necessarily. I could see him in a gunslinger pose getting ready to draw with both guns holstered.

I'll post this again, Cypher used to come equipped with a C'tan phase knife in his wargear. He could have that in one hand.

He lost the knife a long, long time ago in a fight with a C'tan shard. His current rules state he uses his guns in melee instead.

No idea how reliable they are, but rumours about a fallen DA and/or the Lion release keep popping up. Either could make use of a ornate older style of bolt pistol.

Doesn't have anything in common with a bolt pistol other than being a pistol. I'm gonna side with the Duradin camp.

Not really. Cadia gear is one of the most copied in all the Imperium, Some regiments are special snowflakes like the Vostroyans, Tallarn, etc., but the vast majority look like Cadians.
