@Gits - Thanks man, I had the insignia blank right up until the final brush strokes as I hadn't the foggiest idea on what to do with it, then went with the lazy route of going blue

@Mad - Sounds solid! a couple of 500 point games shouldn't take to long to get through either, I have enough armies for you to throw your nids at so they would be different each time.

Update: starting on a commission for a mate, he supplied Arjac Rockfist, and the first thing I noticed was how bad this cast was. You have no idea how mad the cast is, bubbles, malformed areas of detail (shoulder pad and under arms) I suggested he take the model back and get a replacement but he insisted I press on.

Update: Model done, client very happy, accepted that I couldn't make him completely outstanding due to the loss of details in the casting.

@EyeamRai - Don't get me wrong, the painting I have no qualms about, it was the canvas I was applying it to

but thank you for the kind words none the less.

@Graven - I did think about it, but as I'm all scenery'd out right now I might wait till I get those creative juice going again.

Update: another blue wash, the wings base coated and started on the staff

Cheers Graven, still feels quicker than when I did the Baneblade so I shouldn't complain eh?

Update: Wasn't sure on the wings so I gave it a blue wash, instantly regretted it but will press on instead. Added some bronze trim to the cloak and based the bone parts.

Update: I was going to paint each feather.... then I woke up and decided I didn't want to spend a week painting feathers, so I drybrushed the wings and did a few more details

Hmm, maybe. I gave the wings a blue wash to begin with and I suspect that my wash has almost transformed into an ink at this point, lemme know what you think about below and if it needs changing I'll get on to it.

Next up is a commission for the 4 new assassins from the Execution force board game. I really like these models and I suspect I might end up with the game myself.

Feathers on the LOC look sweet, along with the rest of the paint job!

Those are some cool looking assassin models, good to see they are going to get a quality job done on them by yourself ;thumbsup:
