Since there does not appear to be any thread on Fantasy Football (Blood Bowl, Dungeon Ball, Elf Ball, etc.) new releases, I thought I would start a new thread:
For the Dwarf lovers (Chaos and otherwise), Greebo miniatures (Italian company) brings the Volmarian Dwarf team:
They are certainly not the cheapest team on the market (79 Euro), but I found it to be by far the best looking one. Really digging the different take on Chaos Dwarfs.
Miniatures could be ordered directly from Greebo, or from Impact! miniatures.

Thanks for the pic.
I like their take on the hobgoblins. Interesting direction.
Impact has a good collection of various manufacturers' football stuff.
I think the Roller Derby teams are interesting as well.
I've heard that a new unofficial version of the BloodBowl rules is in the works.
Friends who were at Chaos Cup were talking about it.

Another update, this time from Spain:
Willy Miniatures has a few new releases this week:
Zombies, which nicely rounds out a Necromantic-type team:
A full Necro/Undead/or XXL (bot Necro and Undead) deals are not also available.
A new Troll:
And a potential Hafling Star:
Minis can be ordered directly from Willy, or (when they become available) from Impact! Miniatures.

Automatically Appended Next Post: Warlord also started on their next Fantasy Football project: Team Pixies! From Warlord:
His [Wojtek's] next fantasy football team will be Pixies. Yes, really.
Although we’ve managed to get little sense out of the little chap about this team we did manage to snaffle some of the sculpts so we could show you what’s on the way. As far as we can tell there will be winged little beauties, willowy tree creatures and a gold-hungry Leprechaun. We think Wojtek must have been bullied at school, or something…

I figure they could be played as either Wood Elves, Halflings, or Slann. Of course, I am not 100% sure what makes them... football.

Team Manager is really fun. More so with 3+ people. It plays quickly and most of the teams are balanced until you get into long/short seasons. Elves do slightly better in the short term but over the course of time dwarves and orks start to pull ahead marginally.
Great concept and it plays pretty quick once you get the hang of it.

Four scholars at Oxford were making their way down the street, and happened to see a group of ladies of the evening. “What’s this?” said the first. “A jam of tarts?” “Nay,” said the second, “an essay of Trollope’s.” “Rather, a flourish of strumpets,” advanced the third. “No, gentlemen,” concluded the last. “Here we have an anthology of pros.” |

I can't wait for new blood bowl since I feel it in my bones that orcs will be a core team with plastics.

Those chaos dwarves look really good. They could put that sculpting quality to popular use by making regularly armed chaos dwarves, I think.

No luck from Warpath or Architects of War. OTOH, even with the currency conversion and int. shipping, they're $40-ish from Warlord, which is STILL cheaper than a GW Bloodbowl team straight from GW.

"Battleboards" is offering a new board for Fantasy Football.
A standard version for 90$ is in the shop:
http://www.battleboards.co.uk/shop/blood-bowl-pitch-with-insignia/
I am not sure if the following pics are just a demo or a deluxe version with added buildings. My guess is that the buildings are available separately later.

New minis from Franarcilla:
Ogre Starplayer (0022), Old Tree Startplayer (0023), Troll (0006), and Nurgle Ogre (0010). I believe that the first Ogre and the Tree are on 40mm bases (to give you an idea of the size), while the Troll and the Nurgle Ogre are on standard 25mm bases.
