Subject: How to paint a Crimson Fists Space Marine
It always takes a little courage to go "well, time to ruin a perfectly good paint job". But it's worth the effort.
"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."
This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Did you varnish the model before applying the weathering? When using alcohol I had the problem a while back, that the isopropanol (96%) I used, rubbed off some of my previously applied paintjob.
You can see it on the foot of my model, right next to the big screw:

ok, i have to apologize by not exactly specefiing the alcohol. i didn“t mean isopropanol (96%). what i meant is more like a 40% supermarket wodka alkohol ;-)
On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

If you want to use Isopropanol as a weathering sealant you must use it with an airbrush and let it evaporate, this way it won't ruin the paint on your model.
