Subject: The Sons of Davin- Plague Marine army...UPDATE 03/03/2012
I have a big white desk where all of the Warhammer related goodness happens. My main army is Chaos space Marines, but more specifically 'The Sons of Davin', a custom chapter I made based on the events that happened on Davins moon during the Horus Heresy; drafts of the fluff behind my legion can be found here <----
At the moment on my Desk (or my operating table as I like to refer to it...yes I am the Frankenstein) I am currently working on restoring a Brass Scorpion of Khorne, made from two defiler kits, that I bought off Ebay for £35
Here is the model when it had arrived, it was not in bad shape, just badly painted and needed some minor conversion works done to it...
Here are pictures of the model after I had done the minor work/repeairs and primed the model with GW chaos-black primer...
Stay tuned for more....feel free to post your C&C and thanks for reading! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok I have been away in France, Paris for a few days, so that's why there are no updates. Now thought I am going to be more disciplined with my blogging though and a little more structured, so here is goes...
What I need to paint up-
Two rhinos
Chaos Dreadclaw
A Brass Scorpion
A defiler
Things I need to make/buy:
A light box (Make)
A Space marine command Squad to convert into Raptors/ Chosen (magnetised backpack/pre-heresy jetpacks
Fabuis Bile backpack for counts-as Fabius Bile Plague-Marine apocathery
For the Raptors/Chosen I am using the Space Marine Command Squad
For the Pre-Heresy Jump-packs I plan on using these, form Maxmini:
The Fabius Bile counts-as will be mainly be made up of the Apothecary parts from the Command Squad kit, it will look a bit like this conversion (NOT BY ME) :

Ok guys here is an update: I have some pictures of some goblins that I have just finished painting. Once I have finished the whole squad, they are going to be auctioned off on eBay...
I have also converted a Dwarf into a Chaos Nurgle Dwarf with a gas mask, which is going to be mounted onto a scenic base...
Let me know what you think
Hmmm 175 views and only 1 reply...I don't know why people are not posting

After many months of not gaming, I went into my local GW store and wiped out an entire grey knight army with some of my units to spare. I was pretty pleased with myself. The highlight of the game was when my Daemon Prince was in combat with a Dread-knight; the Daemon Prince tore that Dread-knight apart...it was a great game
I have written some more fluff behind my army, be sure to check it out, I have links in my sig below Also I will be posting some updates on a new defiler that I am painting up tomorrow so be sure to check those out as well!
For Christmas the warhammer things I got were Fulgrim, Decent of Angels, Mechanicum, Legion and Battle for the Abyss. Also I got an airbrush and £55 worth of GW vouchers Merry Christmas!

I re-sculpted the mouth on my Daemon-Prince:
I decided to mechanise my plague marines, so I bought two Rhinos. One of them had been built and converted.
Sorry there have not been much updates, just gone back to college and it's been pretty hectic. Anyway, I have built, converted and primed one of the rhinos, I just have one more to do.
I have some new updates, I have been working on my second Rhino now...
'Hand me my sword'
I have also decided to use the predator turret mount, because I wanted to create a razorback looking rhino...
I cut of some sprues and then glued them underneath the hatch. Then I stuck the havoc launcher onto a spare 25mm base.

Long time no post... well I have been very busy lately because my Art coursework is due in soon, but I have some very exiting news... my local GW is closing down for a few weeks because its being refurbished, which is extra cool. Also I am going to spend the last of my vouchers that I got for Christmas on a Talos Pain engine kit which I am going to convert into a unique daemon prince/ blight drone. If you have done any blight drone conversions, or have any ideas please feel free to post them... I need inspiration!

Like where you're going with the rhino, and nice re-work on that prince
Try not to get bothered about a lack of replies, it generally takes a while for most blogs to pick up. Keep working, keep posting and you'll attract peeps, there's some nice stuff here.
Thank you guys for the kind comments, I am going to start painting the Rhinos tomorrow; I got a new airbrush for Chrismas But for now here is a chemical tank that I am working on for terrain...
The rules for this terrain is that if a unit is partially hidden behind it and an enemy squad tries to fire at the unit, then before rolling to wound you have to roll a D6 for every hit, on a 4+ a stray bullet hits the chemical tank and causes a 6" explosion which counts as poisined. Although any unit with the mark of Nurgle is immune to the chemical explosion.
