Hello All,

I'm new to the forums but I really just felt like sharing this and asking for some opinions/advice.

So since the new Necron codex was released and I have an extra 300 points in my army to fill from my warriors + immortals costing less, I took a look at the new Vehicles for some possible conversion/stand-ins.

I really liked the Night Scythe/Doom scythe but I ran into some problems.

1) I have no money
2) there is no model existing for it and not many pieces in the existing sets that match both the shape AND scale.

So I looked around and found my knifes and some random foam sitting around and got to cutting.

These are the results so far. I have a few more bits coming in the mail including the half orb bit from the ghost ark to use as the teleporting orb seen in the codex pictures as well as some
profusion bits that should look decent on the rear as engine bits.

My current thinking is that next I need to get the plated paneling going on the wings and I am trying to figure out what to use. I have some plastic card sitting around somewhere but I have a feeling
it won't want to bend properly to fit the shape.

Anyone have any ideas?

PS. My hell cat decided it looked like food and tried to nom it, thus resulting in the green stuff patchwork.

That's a really great start. My only concern is it may be a little thick. I look forward to seeing this as it progresses though, keep it up!

After taking another look at the codex I agree with you, the middle section does look too thick. I think reducing the middle by a half should improve the look.

Looks like your putting my idea to the test. Good job. I will have to put my plans into physical form soon. It is a little thick. I will not have the center in mine. I also plan on making molds of it once I am done. I hope to have progress pix as well when I do mine. Nice job though.
