Yep, that looks nice.

Got in a game of Pulp Alley tonight. Buck and company managed to score a solid victory against the Gorilla Gangsters. We were in a backwater North American town, something to the tune of Podunkville USA. Both leagues were trying to secure the support of a retired millionaire who likes to visit home and help out his old neighbors (or possibly just rub in his success). I'm guessing we were lobbying for his support or possibly trying to capture him for ransom in the case of the Gangsters. I started out with the initiative and kept it for most of the game which really put a damper on any plans my opponent may have had. I was able to use my characters to their strengths with Agent Falco continually sniping down targets and Natalya picking on a character with little to no brawling skill.

Natalya ended up continuing her grudge match with Da Boss, they traded blows for 2-3 rounds and she went down a couple of times but she stuck it out and kept him engaged, allowing the other characters to do their thing. I gave Rico gadget X which allowed him to solve a plot point he probably otherwise couldn't have, and Speedy managed to secure a minor plot point and follow up with the main plot point . Both Characters went into hiding to lock in my objectives.

Coco the gorilla spent time fighting Eyegore and then Bananas once that stopped beinga challenge. Although she eventually went down and out, she kept bananas tied up for most of the game in a similar fashion to Natalya.

Buck mostly picked on weaker characters, as is his strong suit, and did it pretty well.

Next time we're going to combine battle systems terrain and Mallifaux/terraclips sewers for a daring escape from a mad scientist's lair.. or something.

Sounds fun, I really do need to get around to testing that game at some point.

Got a Minas Tirith Banner Bearer I got cheap on Ebay in the post, not only was it a steal at £4 for a rare and OOP metal, but the paintscheme is actually decent and with a few tweaks, will fit right in wiith my army without needing stripping. Bonus!

Oooh cheapy prepaints? Nice!

Today I shall contemplate buying the scum faction for x-wing, minus the aggressor or whatever you call it. I mostly don't wanna buy it because you're strongly encouraged to get two if you're going to use any which is kind of silly for a large ship.

Probably would only cost $50 to get the rest of the new stuff from MM, although if I wait for the Falcon and Slave1 to come back in stock the combined order would get free shipping if I added shipping's worth of additional model to the order (win/win?), something like a second scyk, HWK or even some paint...

Though it may behoove me to wait and see what shows up on amazon as I usually have credit to spend there.

Aside from making those decisions.. I've got my Illithidragon I could paint, or any one of a large number of things could be swept from my paint table. (wasn't I supposed to be organizing and cleaning that?)

Finished typing up my semi-coherent battle report for that last game of Pulp Alley.
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/2670/508854.page#7623307

I literally can't talk today, my throat is fairly compromised and my body seems to be carpet bombing the entire area in hopes of killing the foreign invaders... So I may take it a bit easy from painting for a while.

I don't want to deposit these plague germs onto my brush when I tip it. May still do some assembly and airbrush stuff.

Burned much of my morning and have work this evening, so I'll try to plug away at the gift project a bit more. Hoping, if not actually expecting, to have it done and off the table by the start of the weekend, so I can make a big push on some of my own hobby stuff. What that means, exactly, I haven't yet decided.

Still have my old plan, but I just can't seem to make any headway on existing projects, so I start new ones, instead. May be worth boxing up the WIPs and finally tackling the desk, itself. A fresh start with a clean, organized desk may be the leg up I need to get these things done.

Very cool, you're making these wrecks look great!

Got the last of my Morannon Orcs done tonight, they just need basing now. Then it's on to the second Imperial Fist Sternguard squad (just a 5-man this time) and some more LotR, this time some Gondor troops and some Haradrim. Probably wait a couple of days for that so I can make them my March pledge for the Hobbit army-building challenge though.

I also had a good rake through the 'to do' pile, to see what I could use for the March challenge. Have some marines that are only slightly beyond 'based one colour'. I also have an old metal Azhag the slaughterer that I'm determined to paint this year during one of the challenges. I've had it since the early nineties. I should really get it done...

So long as they aren't entirely painted, and you submit a proof pic so we can see what you started from, your Marines should be fine to enter. Like I said in the other thread, I'm really not going to be strictly enforcing the 'rules' (guidelines, really), the more people that can get motivated and creative the better!

Which decals? When they first put out the knights, or something from FW?

I've got most of my knight, but I lost the decals and the "shoulder" pieces in the fire (I think I've got a work around).. I need to call GW cust serv and see if i can get another decal sheet...

There was a second sheet that you could buy that was supposedly limited edition. it had the gramaldus and other freeblade ones on it. and apparently is the only way to finish hawk shroud like in the book.

The one that normally comes in the knight box should be replaceable.

Also that sucks about the fire

So I want to get a couple of books ordered before they disappear off the website, and since the GW ticket entry is still running I've been trying to make that $65 mark without going wildly over...everything I want to buy is temporarily out of stock

Reorganized the living room a bit the other night, got rid of some of the piles of cardboard boxes from the hobby...

lol...wonder what our neighbors think seeing boxes with "Not children's products" stamped on the side in the recycling/dumpster all the time..

Got to play a game of Deadzone. My verdict on snipers:

Holy hell, why aren't ALL snipers in games this frigging amazing?! Used 3 gobbo snipers today to devastating results.

Seriously, I'm going to start disallowing myself to use them in friendly games.

With my Dreadnought complete, I've slowly been working on his base... drilling/cutting a hole big enough in a chaos space marine body to impale him was a major PITA but it's done.

Today I hope to gather enough will to at least greenstuff the gore around the holes.

If I'm feeling really nasty, I use a 3 Pathfinder-2 Sniper Enforcer list from time to time. Everyone gets 5 dice base (assuming the Pathfinders Aim with Holosights), so if you step out from behind that cover, you are getting a bullet between your eyes!

The Rebs Sniper is the only one I'm a little dissapointed with, Marksman rather than Sniper really hurts there.

Bones 2 arrived, so i'm trying to find room for all my new gribblies.

Assembled Marshaf and Khanjira.

Khanjira is fething massive. I will be needing to do some filling and smoothing, and he's going to take forever to paint,.

Still plugging away at my Circle stuff at work. Megalith is the next up

Khanjira is preeety ridiculous, but that's kind of the point of it

Mashaaf was also awesome for the price. Talked myself into doing the DDS2 Dragon first though.

May fiddle with some Mars Attacks scenery today, or may work on getting some more models ready to paint. Having options is beneficial to quickly processing the queue.

Grim, how many big dragons did you get in total from B2?

Decided on my entry for the March comp today, found a spare AoBR Captain that is now on Wolf Lord duty, with a suitably big axe. Got a bit of sculpting to do now, but that model is sooo nice for conversion.

I still need to find a reliable source for brush on glue so I can strengthen all of my own counters and dials.. Probably some combination of eBay, china, and nail salons... I'm sure it'll be toxic, but so is all cyanoacrylate.

@Para, I got a little silver dragon that isn't much taller than an SM dread in height, I may actually just jack his wings and leave the rest in the bits box come to think of it... the Dragons don't share dragon, and I think that's it. I got some other large beasties but the solo add-on dragons weren't really doing it for me.

I do kind of want to get a bones Jabberwok, and they don't cost all that much either.

@Para: I believe the Reb sniper got switched with the new stat card.

Snipers are foul. I try to cram in as many as I can. 7 dice if you get a clear shot will kill 90% of targets.

In a game that's all about stacking bonuses and dice to get kills, sniper is an extremely solid ability.
