Rather than commit a horribly massive case of threadomancy on my old blog I've started another P&M blog. Obviously.

I had a bit of a reboot and a break from painting and gaming to reorg my life and fitness and now the horrible initial training is over, and I'm now a minor deity of running again, I have time to paint ! The airbrush is gone for now so its all in ze brush.

I've went for WFB this time instead of 40k (which I'll revisit when 6th ed comes around) as I've never played it before and it looks fun. I really dig the latest minis and like the general direction the system is going. So here it is, my very early WIP stages Ogre Kingdoms army:

Yeah, I know but I didn't really see the point in a revival. A fresh restart was in order !

Thanks for the comments on the skin. I'll probably do some more to it once I've done the other areas. I find doing about half the process then finishing the rest if the mini helps judge the tone better.

Even though it's still in it's very early stages, I've gotta say, that Thundertusk looks really promising.

Still working away on the basecoats for the various colours on the mini plus I've done some preliminary washes to help with highlights and shading later. More up soon....

Had a major stall moment a while back and haven't been blogging at all for a while. I've been doing lots of painting though. Necron army for a friend, GK army for a friend, random side projects and my own Grey Knight Terminators (lava bases).

Here's some of the things I've been working on:

Thanks.
The Chimera was done for a friend on request using Alclad 2 Pale Gold laquer airbrush paint. Its the transport for an Inquisitor I believe.

Apart from airbrushing some dust onto the feet I'm done. The buyer will just need to add flock to taste/match army and that's that.

Stuffs still drying but here's the pics:

Some airbrushing on multiple minis to save time overall.

Alclad Steel metallic, hot sword and blue faded armour plates for the Soul Grinder.

Shadow, mid tones and highlights for Exalted Flamer and Herald.

Basic fading done on flames to act as a guide for the brush painting to be done.

Not sure what to do next but I'll either finish the Soul Grinder or Flaming Chariot in one stage before moving on.

Should I change the colour of the blade to match the glowing blue stuff? Not sure but it still works as it is. Perhaps the glowing blue on the sword hilt should be matching the blade. Hmmmmmmm...
