Wow that is nice. I hope the Japs arent OP! Too bad its not on sale like the rest of the stuff

Might want to change the title to WAB instead of WHA though, WAB is more universally known

My heart sings with joy!

WAB has its problems, but it's still my favorite historical rules set.

Madness is however an affliction which in war carries with it the advantage of surprise - Winston Churchill

THANK YOU LORD YES YES YES!!!!!

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Holy hell, that's a lot of armies!

“It was in lands of the Chi-An where she finally ran him to ground. There she kissed him deeply as he lay dying, and so stole from him his last, agonized breath.

On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”

<------------------------------------This guy right here! Heck I was fortunate enough to win the WAB Adepticon doubles last year. Great and I mean great event with 16 teams. 2 slayer sword winners and 4 demon winners so suprisingly a good amount of people do actually play WAB and it plays like fantasy and is quick and easy to pick up.

Nice! I don't see models on the site, just books- is there a set scale to use? And I guess there were models, but they're OOP and people use 3rd party ones?

It looks neat but I've never seen anyone play a historical game in-person

Most historicals use third party models. WAB in particular is commonly done in 25-28mm but 15mm/20mm isnt too uncommon I think (I think some places even sell WAB armies in 15mm)

GW never made models for it, beyond the occasional special release character model. The pool's already a bit full where historical minis are concerned, so I suspect they thought it wasn't worth the effort of trying to break into that market when most historical players just buy whatever is cheapest and more or less fits the part.

Get yourself down to Adepticon. We have 3 days of WAB events running. And yes, the new AoA book will be legal.

...you know I might actually be kinda interested in this. I've been looking at the WGF samurai thread for a while now and starting to get kinda interested in having a historical army. It'd be refreshing to buy models that weren't "heroic" scale for once.

How many models do you typically need for a WAB army?

100-150 figures makes for a good game.

My samurai army last year at adepticon was 108 models but most people focus on bow cav so realy 60 to 70 was more common.
