Great work on those Anvil figures. They've really come up well, and the washes have given them a realistic, grimy look.

Thanks mate ! Anvil mini's are superb, I really do prefer them to GW even tho resin is a little harder work than plastic ( not much harder when you consider how much better they look ! )

So, being a clever kind of bloke I came home Saturday night, shall we say , a little worse for wear ? And decided what a good idea it would be to paint the Valkyrie.

It's not to bad considering, the lens look rubbish tho, but just those and the flight stand and I'll call it done.

C &C welcome !

How do you go about your surface rust like that Biggy?

It's a combination of removing some plastic with a Dremel tool and then adding fine sand with PVA and a fine brush.
I paint the sand chestnut brown first with the airbrush and then rust wash it with oils ! Simples !

That looks bloody fantastic mate. I did have my doubts when you were drilling holes in it, then I thought you'd lost it with the sand. All coloured up however it looks really good.

Mate you can do better with a brush ! I need the 3 d effect and oils to get any depth at all !

That's looking rather nice, in a rusty/dirty way.

Glowy engines are good too.

OSL effects are excellent on those.

Disgustingly gorgeous!! Really love the whole effect of this! The sand / PVA combo is a nice one.. and worked with the dremel gives a lovely feel of corrosion!

Grandfather Nurgle would fart an entire symphony in celebration!

Thanks Gits ! I actually put a bit of thought into that base !!!

So , in the fastest paint of my life , I have manged to very almost finish a Death Guard predator in about 12 hours !!! This was mostly done by sponges and washes but it seems to kinda work and I'm fed up with spending 3 weeks on a vehicle so damn it ! I'm going to rush some thru !
Details and perhaps some airbrush OSL next once the varnish dries !
Happy days !
C&C welcome !

I know some of you super skilled painters on here can smash out model after model in awesome quick time, but I have trouble , mainly coz I jump about from one project to the next without finishing any.

But here I present to you the plague wagon, the fastest paint of my life, it has a few ropey bits, but all my models have that !

C&C welcomed!
