Well this is the week i have been waiting for, 1000pts of tau vs 1000pts of Dante and sanguinary guard. bring it on.
My army list:
-Shas'el, twin-linked plasma rifle, cyclic ion blaster, hard-wired multi-tracker, hard-wired target lock, hard-wired drone controller, shield drones x2 = 135pts
-Crisis bodyguard team (2 members), targeting array x2, twin-linked plasma rifle x2, hard-wired multi-tracker = 160pts
-Kroot carnivore squad, 12 Kroot including 1 Shaper, 12 Kroot hounds, Armour saves, Ethereal with Honour blade = 260pts
-Kroot carnivore squad, 12 Kroot including 1 Shaper, 12 Kroot hounds, Armour saves = 200pts
-Fire warrior team (10 members), team leader, photon grenades, hard-wired drone controller, bonding knife, marker drone = 150pts
-Devilfish troop carrier, targeting array, multi-tracker = 95pts
Army Total= 1000pts

blood angels army (approximation)
- Dante, Sanguinary guard (5 members), infernus pistol x2 = ?
- Sanguinary guard (5 members), infernos pistol x2, angelus boltguns x3, sanguinary priest= ?
- Sanguinary guard (5 members), infernus pistol x2, sanguinary priest= ?

GL! Though I have to say I think your tau list might need a little help, it looks a little stretched point wise to me

It is made for a particular reason, because i could just make an army of crisis battle suits then the game would be pretty simple. So i agreed with my friend that i wouldn't, so i went the other way, the ork way. A horde army.
I use the fire warriors in the devilfish as bait the use a three pronged attack from my two kroot squads and my commander.

Oh well if your goal was to give him a better chance than the list is fine lol But there are some mistakes with the list. Like giving the bodyguard a multi tracker? They only have the tl plasma rifles. And an ethreal is an hq choice, not part of a kroot squad

Why do your bodyguards have multi-trackers if all you got on them is one gun. Also, etheral is a risky character.

yh the multi tracker are still there but i changed some parts around, i have taken away the twin-linked plasma rifles of my bodyguard and given each of them a single plasma rifle and a fusion blaster.
Oh and i know an ethereal isn't an upgrade for a kroot squad, but he can join them because he is an independent character. and another change i made, is that i took away my kroots armour saves because his entire army is outfitted with power weapons. so i gave my ethereal 2 shield drones instead.

alright, just as long as you know the ethreal is an hq choice. You might want to update the lists to avoid the confusion. Hopefully his leadership 10 will keep the kroot from running off the board. So when you say you took away their armor saves are you saying you dropped the sharpers?

no i kept the shapers, so they have their armour save, and the ethereal has his two shield drones. Oh and the kroot will not run off the board anyway, if he is alive they are fearless.

But they don't need the armour save if his whole army has power weapons.

I know that is why i took away their armour saves. I meant that the shapers still have armour saves because it is included in their stats.

I don't think I have every seen a list with an Ethereal in it. IMO I think they really suck for their point value and what they do. I would much rather spend the points elsewhere. I always have a hard time with shapers too, they are so expensive for what you get. I do like Kroot to bubble wrap my broadsides and to try to keep them out of CC, if I am only bringing 2 troops many times I will bring fire warriors and a devil fish. Good luck with the Tau. I know many people say they are a crap army, but I still think they can be pretty competitive, just keep them out of CC.

ya i prefer no sharpers to. for their point cost you can use a whole nother kroot squad

You should just be a dink and field 12 Fire Warriors with 2 Gun drones for each squad multply that by 6. = 84 models.

Then throw in a Shas'el with BC/MP TA HWDC and 2 SD.

Thats around 1000 pts =]

Non tau style for sure and im pretty certain he wont do well lol
