So while thinking about conversion ideas at work one day (I have a very boring job), I thought that it may be interesting to make Sisters of Battle from Eldar Guardians. As a player who likes to include as many conversions, even if only slight ones in my army, I thought that this would be an endeavour worth taking.

The plan is to use Guardian bodies and give them Space marine backpacks with Bolters and other Imperial bits to make them look like Sisters of Battle. A friend of mine is in the middle of selling off his large Eldar army right now, so I got all his Guardians. As a long time Marine player, I had tones of Backpacks and Bolters in my bitz box, so it was time to start working.

While I have some of the old metal sister models, I do not have enough to field an army with this new WD codex (I used to run lots of induced guardsmen with an Inquisitor lord and assassins). I want these new sisters to look different from the old ones, less blocky and more slender (hence using Guardians as a base). I also intend that this will be the first army in which I own where all the models are converted.

Here is my first attempt:

Champion (WIP):

I still have some work to do on these two before going on, like smoothing out green stuff and trimming off the Eldar gems. I also need an idea as to what to use for heads, so any suggestions would be helpful!

You might try using Dark Eldar since they standard Guardians have much more rounded and organic looking armor than the Sisters. Dark Eldar armor is more "plate" looking. If you haven't already made a large financial investment in lady Eldar it might be worth your while.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

There was actually a guide about for doing so. However it required the previous Dark Eldar warriors. Not sure about the current.

Well, I didn't put much money into the eldar as of yet (I bought some wrathlords and farseers , but that's for another project).

I thought about DE, but thought they might be a bit too sharp. I might pick up a box of them and give it a go and if it doesn't work out then they can be regular DE warriors as I play DE.
