I have decided to start playing WHFB with the WoC army, partly because I like the look and feel, partly because my 2 roommates each play Daemons and Beastmen so I need to finish the trifectum of Chaos.

My 1500 point list is

Sorcerer lvl 2 w/ MoT
Sorcerer lvl 2 w/ MoT

15 Chaos Warriors w/ FC, MoN, Shields
15 Chaos Warriors w/ FC, MoK, Shields

15 Chosen w/ FC, additional hand weapon, MoK, Favour of the Gods
5 Chaos Knights w/ Musician, Standard Bearer, MoT

I'm hoping to get tips on how to run/improve this list. I'm also wondering if the MoT on the Sorcerers is a good idea or if I should use them with Lore of Fire or Lore of Death.

I would say drop the chosen at this points level they are pricey and can't be used to their full potential.

I would takeone lvl2 and an exalted hero bsb.
Then give both these guys some gear.

The non is over priced for what it does. So if you Wang an anvil unit try mot with shields and the rapturous standard when the bsb is near by, in my experience then that unit will either win combat or they will hold. Quite solid middle of the battle line unit.

I see you are trying to be punchy. I have found (and others will agree) that halberds and mok warriors are really good together. High ws initiative str and attacks. These guys usually take care of problem units.
As well they may want the banner of eternal flame that way they can even deal with trolls hydras hellpits etc.

Personally I am a tz guy mot sorcerers on discs I find are fantastic. The lore has 3 or 4 really good spells: flickering fire, infernal gateway, pandaemonium and treason (if the opponent is not itp).

The knights work with mot and also mok for the extra attacks.

Thoughts are maybe get rid of the nurgle unit for more warriors in the other units as well as possibly getting some hounds and if points allow it some gear for the bsb.

I usually put my bsb in the rap standard unit and have those guys at the center of my battle line.

Hounds help a lot since you have a small army unit wise and reacting to your opponents deployment makes the battle a lot easier for you.

I run one of my casters with the golden eye. Its cheaper and if you use him right he should never be in combat anyways s might be worth looking into.

Looks good tho, as said earlier the nurgle warriors seems a little out of place.

That seems pretty solid try it out and then make changes according to you play style.
I would recomend another unit of hounds so you can throw down two units before having to deploy your warriors.

But ya looks good. I would also
suggest running them 6 wide rather than 5. Reason being if they fight something with smaller bases (20mm) then they can get more attacks.
